Had to comment on this one as i do the same, actually i weigh in morning and again after workout in late afternoon. I usually weigh in the same the next morning providing i havent eaten a high sodium supper under 2000mg is usually good for me anything higher automatic 1 - 2 pounds up!!!!

There has to be some cal burn as zumba has over 900 cals for 1 hour, and when u r soaked doin 30 mins of kettle bells with a 20lb weight it would have to be 200 - 300 id think.

My wife just started Zumba just over a week ago and the inches and weight are falling off as well as healthy eating, not dieting, salt is my big killer but u can do it, u want to get back to 150 so set yourself small goals, 10lbs at a time, its easier to look at 5 goals of ten pounds then 50lbs, and its less depressing.

Hey Melissa, Take your 45lb u wanna lose and brake it up in incriments of 10lbs at a time and it will be more achievalbe. I guess its different for everyone, i've been on average 10lb a month 2 - 2.5 lb a week since November, eating very well and health wise i feel great, 249.5 November 25/10 to 205.5 current. Goal 185 June 30th/11

For special holidays I use it as my once a week cheat day and make sure i have a great workout that day and it usually bal ances out well as long as i"m back into it the next day. Down 40lbs from Nov 25/10.

elliptical for 60 min level 9 for 1205 cals this morning and treadmill 70 min for 1045 cals , before supper.

I just eat my base 1700cal im allowed with my weight and height, for instance today i worked out for 2250 cals wich give me 3950 cals , there is no way i''ll eat hardly any of it , probably 1900 to 2200 total otherwise u'll waste your workout cals.

Break yourself up into 3 or 4 goals weights 10 - 15lb or so.Its easier to achieve the 10 -15lbs at a time than look at a long 50lb goal. This is what helped me. S.W 249.5 Nov/10 G.W. 230 January 15th/11 CW 215.5 Mar24th/11 GW 200 April 24th/11 End W 185 May 31st/11 Just something to look at doing.

Just to let you know i've fluctuated as much as 9 lbs in two days ,no lie and my wife can attest to this, as for me fluid retention is the big thing. I always weight heavier than before workout and can drop 4lb in a hard cardio workout.
