  • There's a smart scale by Renpho that will show Bodyfat percent, water percent and calculate muscle mass, it's +/-3% accurate from what I can tell by spot checking it against the doctor's numbers and my work place's annual wellness check. If you are interested in body fat percent- I'd look into a different scale and watch…
  • Just got mine. Very new but please add me either via mfp or fitbit. https://www.fitbit.com/user/3VYY4C
  • I'm trying on dresses tomorrow (hopefully will order one tomorrow too) and this is what I'm worried about. I don't want to lose major pounds, I just want to feel confident mostly because of the wedding dress size and fittings. I am going to get a dress hopefully that can accommodate some change though. We'll see. Glad…
  • @neffme: I've lost 16lbs, (but I weigh in tomorrow so might be less with the holidays). I'm going dress shopping end of January. Honestly I really just want to gain more endurance/strength for my honeymoon than look good for my wedding, lol. :) Hoping to swim in the ocean!
  • Food - did well. A little over and not as much protein as I would have liked but still good Exercise did P90x. Need to work on moving around more during work. Water only 60oz Sleep - 7 hours but the wind kept me up...
  • Try Whole30, Paleo, or Primal - a stricter way of eating may cause you to think outside of the box and break the addiction / cycle. I'm not saying you have to stay on such restrictions, but it does give a whole new light to eating, and when you no longer can eat something - coming up with other options becomes natural.
  • I'm also getting married Oct 17th. I have my venues, officiate, and cater picked. Working on photographer now. In Jan/Feb I'll get my dress and hopefully in Feb/March I'll send out save the dates...
  • Water is huge. And it should be water not coffee, juice, or soda/pop. 8 cups (64 oz is the min). If you are awake form 7am till 8pm that's a little over half a cup (5oz) an hour. I try for 80oz because that's the new recommended amount and I know I feel dehydrated when . FYI: Average USA glass = 12oz. Average tea cup 6oz.…

  • Egg's are good again. But like any food, we can't eat all of one thing and be healthy. http://www.webmd.com/diet/features/good-eggs-for-nutrition-theyre-hard-to-beat http://www.health.harvard.edu/press_releases/egg-nutrition

  • I like it as well! My work one that I put on my board this week is "Life's not about how fast you run or how high you climb - but how well you bounce." - unknown Followed with - "Didn't I ever tell you about Bumbles?? Bumbles Bounce" - Yukon from Rudolph the Red Noise Reindeer.
  • I'm going to be going to David's Bridal in Jan/Feb (wedding in Oct 2015) and I'm so hoping/looking for a corset type dress.
  • For some reason I could get on the app on my phone but my internet was having trouble at the house. Excuses, excuses. Today I'm starting P90x and a loose form of their nutrition. I'm supposed to eat (loose form remember) 500cal of protein based items 200 cal calcium source item 100 cal carbohydrates 100 cal veggy 100 cal…

  • Feeling really big/bloated today. Too much food and people from Wednesday - Saturday. For having a week off of work, I feel very un-relaxed, lol and I want a vacation! Oh well, back to work tomorrow and back on the bandwagon. It was good seeing family though. Also fiancee and I have decided to start P90x again come 2nd…
  • At my relatives house now. Very tired from the thanksgiving one-place-after-the-next game. But hopefully I won't give in to tempation too much!!! Happy Thanksgiving!
  • I'm thankful that my hand is healing up lol. And for good friends. Yesterday I ended up exhausted, more from in laws than exercise. Being an introvert - I just get tired when around people I'm normally not around... Food - same as always. Did well breakfast and lunch but not dinner... Dinner was a lot of refined carbs too.…
  • Finishing Saturday. Dinner - 2 glasses of wine, 1 slice of rump roast, 1 baked potato (with sour cream), 1 side salad, and a rocky road bar for dessert. While at the in-laws, I'm probably not going to be 'healthy' and since a lot of the stuff is hard to calorie count, I'm just going to try to not ask for seconds... Today…
  • Oh, since I injured myself! Time for lots of vitamin and minerals to help that healing process!!!
  • Thought I checked in yesterday... Might have not posted. :( Sweetpea - Glad you got things cleaned. Hopefully after the holidays things will seem a bit less busy for you. I think holidays add extra stress, even though they are a good thing! Saturday - English muffin, 1 egg, bacon (bit of cheese) - Lunch - sandwhich and…
  • CARBS - Carbs are often seen as "bad" but most of that is due to the carbs we eat and processed foods. Lots of processed foods are empty calories complete with sugars and chemicals are bodies don't need, but extend the life of the product and make it addictive (body will start craving more sugar). Good carbs are in…
  • Sweetpea: Would you be able to do some type of exercise with your youngest as part of home schooling? Not sure how old, but most of physics can be physical - same with biology or just PE. I'm sure you've already thought of this, but some of my earlest memories of exercise was "jogging" with my father... (I'm sure he wasn't…

  • Soooo... I sliced my hand yesterday (failed in cooking cabbage, then got knife stuck... then ended up needing to go to ER) Whole new version of awesome! It's my right hand, so maybe this will help me not mindlessly eat? (bad joke) Anyway, goal is to survive till vacation then to just be mindful of what I'm consuming. :)
  • I cut my hand and got stitches...
