  • Bump for later. :)
  • Totally using this thread to make my grocery list. Looking foward to weekly shopping at the Farmers Markets in a couple of weeks. Can't go wrong with locally grown produce.
  • I started it today, also! Cardio seemed easy but those strength moves about did me in! Feel free to friend me!
  • Bumping this to read after work. I'm having the exact same problem.
  • I'm a 39 yo sahm. I love camping, floating around the pool, a glass of wine on the patio and lunch dates with my friends. :) (that sounds a little like a singles ad, no? lol) WHAT DO YOU USE AS MOTIVATIONS? I'm taking a dream trip to Scotland in May. I NEED to fit into my Spring clothes by then and I hope to run a 5K while…
  • Count me in! I'm having so much trouble getting the scale to move. Maybe this is exactly what I need! Taking a dream trip to Scotland in May, so it's time to get serious so I can fit back into all my cute clothes. :)
  • I'm starting week 4 today. I use an iphone app that's called 5K runner. It lets you play your own music and gives cues as to when to run and walk. I love it and haven't had to repeat a week yet (so far). My first 5K will be on March 3. I have NEVER been a runner and could barely go a 1/10 of a mile before I started. Great…
  • Since our "monthly visitor" is a dreaded evil, I let myself eat whatever I want on the first day. I log it all and typically don't go too over board but it's a once a month completely guilt free day.
  • Hello! I'm right up the road in OB! Send me a friend request (jenielee). I'm battling the urge to say forget it right now. Weeks of exericise and logging food and I'm yo-yoing the same 2-3 lbs every week. It's sounds like you're on the right track! Keep it up!!
  • EVERYONE has those days...and if they say they've never had one then they're lying. Tomorrow is a brand new day! Get back on track and try to drink plenty of water. One day will not do too much damage but you may see some bloating from the sodium. Don't get too upset if you're up a lb or two, just drink a some extra water.
  • We're a camping family so I know how you feel! It is a bit harder while living "rough". One of my main problems is not getting enough water. I'm always a couple pounds heavier when we get home (bloating) but it goes away after a day or so of drinking enough. Don't beat yourself up over a s'more or two. Just be sure to stay…
  • I have this problem about once a week. I typically just skip the exercise or do it and eat a table spoon (or so) of peanut butter. (I'm a bit obessed with peanut butter. YUM!) It's not overly filling but pretty high on calories. And it's much better for you than other high calorie junk.
  • Zumba! It's so much fun that you don't even know you're working out and it burns a crazy amount of calories if you really go all out with the movements.
  • Peanut butter is a great way to rack up calories but it's healthy too. Or eat a couple of servings of high calorie nuts or cheese. Both are great about adding a bunch of calories but still being healthy and not too filling.
  • Zumba is about the most fun you can have while working out! Burns a bunch of calories and you don't even really realize you're exercising. A close friend of mine lost 40lbs last year doing zumba. She didn't diet AT ALL, ate normally but did zumba 4 times a week.
  • Great advice! I've had to re-learn how to do diet and exercise. It just didn't seem right to eat that much but after doing zumba, I really needed it. After years of hearing eat 1200 calories if you want to lose weight, I'm consuming closer to 1700 on exercise days and LOSING! I pay close attention to the "net" calories and…
  • Crockpot Fajitas 1 pkg boneless/skinless chicken thighs 1 large onion (cut in half then sliced) 1-2 bell peppers (sliced) 1/2 pkg fajita seasoning (I use Great Value and only 1/2 a pkg because it has a little heat to it) 1T lime juice (optional) Cook on high 4 hrs or on low for 6-8 hrs. It will be very juicy. You can…
  • HUGS and prayers for you and your children. One of my good friends lost her husband and her two sons lost their daddy to this disease in August.
  • Like D said, we've known you most of our lives and that means we know what you are capable of. You can definately do this.... and we're here to help! You know you're more like a sister to us than just a friend. I can't wait to see you walk down the isle is a hot little size 8 wedding gown. :-) Life has gotten to all three…
  • I use my treadmill number because MFP doesn't take the incline into consideration. I also sometimes will jog a bit.
