Amazing! You should be so proud of your success!

Nearest goal is my vacation in May. I won't be at goal, but hopefully I'll hit 20 lbs lost by then.

So many amazing and inspiring transformations!

I do think calories in/calories out is the basis of any weight loss. You eat less than you burn, you lose weight (things like insulin resistance mess with your metabolism, eating differently can help you work with your metabolism). But how you eat and what you eat makes a great difference in health and how you feel. If I…

Why can't I mark this as liked, insightful and awesome? This post is hands-down one of the best things I've read on this site. Well done.

So many great photos shared here - great work all around!

I have started over more times than I can count.

In my experience, when I reduce carbs (relying more on fats & proteins for my calories) but stay within a calorie goal, I definitely lose and do better adhering to my diet because I'm more satisfied and less hungry. The fewer carbs I have, the less I crave them as well. If you're the sort of person who will die without…

Congrats on your loss - I can see a BIG change in your pics! You've worked hard and the results so far show it. Even with more to lose, 25 lbs down has improved your health, how your clothes fit, how you feel... Keep up the good work and keep sharing :)

Thanks so much for this! I have been contemplating switching for a while but I was nervous about the calories that the online calculators were suggesting (too good to be true LOL). I think I will stick with MFP for now.

I love muffins.

I love your story. Fantastic! "Quietly and consistently work towards building a better you." - is brilliant!

I do. I LOVE CAKE. Actually it's my 3 year old's b-day this weekend and I'm looking forward to his cake so much.

It does get better, but if you're hungry EAT! Find something low in carbs with some protein to help satisfy you. I usually end up in the 30-40 range for carbs and I'm losing pretty well.

I WI daily because I like data. I record whenever I feel like it. If a 2lb fluctuation will ruin your day or will cause you to derail from your eating or workout plan, then maybe daily isn't good for you. If you just like numbers and information and might want to see how a salty/sugary meal one day might affect the next…

I'm 5'7" and yeah, a lot of "regular" length pants are too short. Especially in yoga pants/loungewear. When I was trim, the best yoga pants I owned were from Victoria's Secret. They were the PERFECT length. That was loooong ago, but I still have them hoping I'll make it all the way back to medium. My starting weight is 227…

How big? I've had bigguns forever and the best never-bounce bra I've ever had was an Enell. They are expensive. They seriously mash you down, but you won't jiggle. At all.

Thanks for replying!

Wow - I'm so glad you found it and YAY for loose rings!
-
Thanks for the reply - my goal is to work up to 45 minutes 5 days/week and eventually incorporate weights.

Click around to the other threads - bra/undie pics are frequent. Bonus points if you're snapping the pic in a dirty mirror with toothpaste marks on it, if you're making duckface, if the undergarments have holes or are visibly dirty.

I'm 5'7" and I'm a 14 & XL when I'm 195. I'm 205-ish right now and 14/16 for jeans. To get into a 12, I have to be in the 180s.

I just got back from w1d1 and feel great that I did it. Good luck!

Great job!

You look great and you're even smiling bigger!

I don't have a personal story of inspiration, but I can tell you that my mom is 59 severe arthritis in her knees and has lost 40lbs so far this year. She's following WW and using a recumbent bike to get some exercise in when she feels up to it. Losing is hard, but it CAN be done!!

I've worked out on low carb in past years and have noticed that the first week or so I do have diminished energy but I usually rebound in week two.

I've been successful in the past at dropping cutting back my soda intake by setting a rule - one soda/day. At lunch. Otherwise it's ONLY water. I did let myself off the hook on weekends & holidays so I had something to look forward to.
