  • How long have you been sticking to this plan? Like you mentioned, it's very normal for people to retain a lot of water weight after starting a new exercise plan (thus masking any real fat loss). I went through the same thing you're going through. When I first started eating right I lost some water weight almost…
  • @brod405 unfortunately, I didn't measure myself before starting, but I did see changes in terms of toning and less body fat. I lost 10 of the 25 pounds I originally wanted to lose by doing the 30ds as my only exercise and eating at a deficit. My stomach has also gone down a lot.
  • I just finished my second round of the 30 ds this past week. The beginning is killer! I'm usually sore for about 4-5 days at the start, but if you continue doing the workouts and try to ignore the soreness, it eventually subsides. I think you're supposed to do each level for 10 days, but it's really up to you. I know…
  • Yes!!! I started my weight loss journey this summer and I'm so worried I'll go back to school and overeat and not control my portions and gain weight and just fail!!!
  • Honestly, take it one day at a time. That's what I do. I've been uncomfortable with my body all of my life and I just now, in June, have finally stuck to a lifestyle change for more than maybe a few weeks. What I've been doing for motivation is looking at before and after pics... for example motiveweight.tumblr.com is…
  • Wow! Looks great!! And also looks like way more than 20 lbs, awesome job!
  • I haven't read through any of the responses, so I apologize if anyone has already mentioned this. It is extremely unlikely that you're gaining any real weight in muscle to offset any fat you've lost. That's really hard to do for people who monitor their macros and calories and almost impossible to do while at a deficit. I…
  • This was happening to me a few weeks ago. I gained a few lbs (I presume it was water weight now) and my stomach was consistently huge and bloated for abt 3 weeks. What fixed it for me was just eating very my calorie limit for 1-2 days and drinking much more water than usual for a few days. It actually happened by mistake…
  • Hi! Below are my stats: Name: yassy124 SW: 160 GW:140 BMI: 25.1
  • Can I be added to the spreadsheet please? Thanks :)
  • Whenever I crave something baked/ sweet, I go for quest bars. I loveeeeeeee the cookies & cream and brownie flavors. They satisfy my cravings, they're a good sourced of protein &keep me full. You can even heat them up to get that 'out of the oven' feel.
  • I've had the polar ft7 for about a year now, and it's been great!
  • Lol I just joined a boot camp class with my friend and it scared us to death! We're struggling to go back for another session. To answer your question though, when I first started doing circuit/strength training I was soo sore for like a week, but if you continue doing it, it gets so much better. I think doing it every…

  • Thanks so much for all of your knowledgeable advice! I've added much more protein to my diet and now actually try to reach my daily fat and protein goals. This has helped me tremendously, and I've even noticed that on days when I'm hungrier, I usually ate more carbs throughout the day (even snacking on high carb foods…
  • Lol I didn't mean it literally.
  • @curlygirl513 Thanks for the advice!! Sorry if I wasn't clear, but I no longer do cardio, so the only exercise I'm getting every day is the ~30 min of the 30 day shred, aside from this, I'm pretty much sitting all day. According to my stats and info, my tdee is abt 1500 calories, which is what I end up eating... I think…
  • Count me in as well, please! Would love to learn some new recipes!
  • Super inspirational! Bump!
  • Restarting my weight loss journey! I'm 20 yrs old, 5'7ft, and currently weigh ~160lbs - looking to go down to about 140-145lbs. Feel free to add!!
  • Hi, I've just started on my journey as well (about 2 weeks ago). I'm 20yo, 5'7 and 162lbs... looking to get to around 130lbs (but my first goal is 145lbs). I don't have many friends either, so feel free to add me, and good luck on your weight loss goals!! :) :)
  • You should definitely carry over those calories and eat them today. I've read that what matters is the weekly average calorie intake, so what you do every day doesn't really matter as long as it averages out to the amount you should be eating over a week. Sometimes, if I go over my calorie intake one day, I burn those…
  • I've kept a healthy diet recently (cut out meat, eating mostly veggies, fish, etc), and I think that's one of the main reasons why I've been able to maintain such a low caloric intake. After reading your responses and checking my TDEE, I think if I increase my caloric range from 1200-1400, I'll feel better about how much…
  • Thank you so much for all your responses! I think I'm going to try and workout 3x a week so that I can be able to eat a bit more.
