  • I'm trying to lose between 60-80 pounds still. I'm 33, 5'2" and around 196
  • Always looking for new mfp friends if you'd like to add me. I'm working on losing over 100 pounds right now. I started at 235-240 in november 2013 and am still chipping away at it looking to get down to 120-130s. I take boxing classes, yoga classes, walk, lift weights, and jog. I have been using my fitness pal for almost 2…
  • size 4 to 16 and s,m,l shirts. It is a work in progress. My goal is a size 6 or 4 again. I feel comfortable at the size and my BMI was normal in that size range.
  • I work a lot of night shifts. I tend to try to keep my eating on a daytime schedule most of the time. I stop eating before 10pm and try really hard not to eat again until breakfast (5am-7am). I drink water or no calorie beverages if I'm at work. If I'm home, I usually switch to sleeping at night if I can fall asleep.
  • I'm in the 190s trying to get to around 115 to 120. I am 5'2". People can friend request me if they would like. My diary is public. I started back in 2013 at 235 pounds
  • maybe you should talk to a dietician or nutritionist to help you revamp your diet? do some searches on low carb meal plans on the web? Remember calories in=calories out. I am having a problem right now with eating too many calories and need to buckle down. Can you do low impact exercise like swimming or walking?
  • Could be dehydration. I was having this problem with my boxing classes but once my conditioning improved I stopped getting this feeling most of the time. I went about 6 months where I would feel sick during the workout and that was the only thing other than low blood sugar I could find as a cause. Try drinking more water…
  • warm almond or soy milk?
  • If it is the caffeine that is giving you trouble, can you just drink decaf coffee or tea or is it the acid? What about chai or cappuccino?
  • This will be my second weight loss challenge on MFP. I lost weight but I didn't complete my goal last time. Maybe this time will be different. Looking forward to starting
  • I like the daily check in idea. I just joined the group Thursday night. I went to my circuit training class today and ate about 1500 calories at my best educated guess. I will use this group to get back on track with logging and to break my stagnating weight loss. I would like to also find time to exercise 4 times a week…
  • just joined the spread sheet. I hope this gives me more motivation to try harder. Excited.
  • You may need to look at if there is anything that maybe causing you to be hungry for no reason. Examples are stress, medication side effects, emotions, hormonal fluctuations, etc. Once you figure those things out it may get easier to lose weight.
  • I've been having the problem with my pants starting to fall down sometimes when I jog/run. I started my weight loss journey at around 235 pounds and I'm down to 197 as of today. I have been combating this by wearing mostly pants that have a drawstring when I work out at the moment. I figure eventually I'll lose enough…
  • I have this problem also and I also sometimes have nausea when I do the boxing/circuit training workout that I have started doing several times a week. I sweat so much sometimes that my clothes are drenched with sweat usually by the end of some of the classes. These are symptoms of dehydration and I suspect that is why I…
  • I am a registered nurse. When I worked in the hospital setting, I felt like it was really hard to regulate my diet. planning your meals ahead and packing them or making healthy choices if your buying food at work is probably your best bet along with regular exercise. I left the hospital to improve my quality of life. I do…
  • I have noticed that I get treated a lot differently from when I was thin to now when I'm obese. Now that I'm losing weight again I notice it again. Guys seem to be checking me out more and people are strangely nicer to me than when I've been larger. I have no idea how I'm going to be treated when I hit my goal weight. I'm…
  • wow nice work!
  • I sometimes get busy and have a hard time finding time to like peoples' posts and give supportive comments. I seem to go through phases where I use mfp alot to log and comment and then will fall off the wagon and not use it for months. I am more motivated lately and am trying to make more of an effort to leave comments and…
  • you can change your life if you believe it can happen. I'm in the process of doing this right now too. making little changes over time adds up.
  • just try to eat small portions. Part of making a lifestyle change involves learning to deal with these types of situations.
  • I just watched this over the weekend and I found the amount of fast food that is served for school lunches shocking. It is making me think more about what I eat and drink since watching it.
  • Remember that slow and steady wins the race. Take it one day at a time. I have the same fears myself because I've yo-yo'd several times in my life so far and I really want this time to be the time I finally stop. I would look at the info from the above poster and put it to use.
  • I've never been to a instructor led class where the instructor was overweight or obese. I would think that would turn off people to coming to take that particular work out. I wouldn't necessarily not go to the class if the instructor was still good at teaching the class. I once had a zumba instructor that continued to…
  • Yeah you aren't too skinny then. I looked at your diary. It sounds like your eating nutrient rich foods and not junk. I would go see a doctor to get the best idea of what is wrong.
  • How tall are you? You may have lost so much weight that your not able to have a period right now? This used to happen to me when I was in middle school on the track team. my weight was barely breaking 100 pounds during that time in my life and it stopped my period until I gained some weight back in the off season. I would…
  • Part of the reason I'm as overweight as I am is that I'm still carrying around weight from my nights of partying and late night slices of pizza many years ago. I don't think you have to always stick to light beer and liquor if you want to go out but just remember if you go out and drink a lot of beers that night that isn't…
  • I agree with this person. you may have an addiction that needs treatment.
  • my diary is lots of pizza, beer, chocolate, etc. too :drinker:
  • If your goal is to eat clean or something like that then your right but otherwise I don't think it is a bad thing if you have "bad" stuff in moderation. It really depends on what that person's goals are.
