  • Hi everyone. My name is Mary. I am 31 years old, married, and have 3 children. I started Insanity yesterday. I have already done today's workout. So far it is not as bad as I prepared myself for. Don't get me wrong... it is tough and I hurt, esp. my legs. Oh gosh, my legs. LoL. :D Can't wait to get more into this. Even if…
  • I have a Zumba set I bought 3 years ago, Zumba for Xbox Kinect, and have been to a couple live classes at the gym. It is fun and a really great way to get active. I don't know about Exhilarate because I haven't done it. But the Zumba I have done has been fun and you almost forget you are exercising.
  • I had awesome results with TurboFire by Chalene Johnson.
  • IMHO. Get a heart rate monitor. So worth the $$$. You can create an exercise and put in the name of the workout you did, time you exercised, and calories burnt. :)
  • Insanity is an intense workout program by Shaun T. It is sold by Beachbody. I have seen tons of people get crazy awesome results with this program. It is supposed to be the hardest workout program. I read a review by a Marine that said it was harder than his bootcamp. So I am crazy enough to want to prove to myself that I…
  • The 30th is my birthday. I want to start 32 with a bang (and some pain). I just finished Les Mills Pump schedules so I am taking a break from scheduled workouts to do the cardio and lifting activities that I want to do. :) & trying to build up some stamina before starting Insanity. Plus hubby wants to join and his schedule…
  • Request sent. :D
  • Normally I will workout Mon through Fri, rest Sat, then workout Sunday. I am following the Les Mills Pump schedule so I have been taking an extra rest day when it tells me to. However, for the workout schedules that offer only 1 rest day... that is how I do it.
  • I don't think it ever ends. I still see the loose skin left over from 3 pregnancies. I still see my flaws and imperfections. However, I learned to avoid the scale, except for weigh-in day on my workout calendar (currently doing Les Mills Pump). I embrace how I look with clothes on and take the good with the bad. I may hate…
  • I am in the same boat. For years the comment was about "pushing away from the table". Now every time someone sees me they comment on how I need to stop losing weight. Funny... I have been in maintenance for 6 months now. I have even been told I need to gain a few pounds. I figure the only opinions I need to worry about are…
  • Age: 30 years Before & after weight : Before= 214 lbs After= 120 lbs Start & goal reached date= Started Dec 2007 and surpassed my goal Feb 2013 Best strategy for removing weight: For me it was- Quit making excuses, woman up, count the calories, eat the health food, and get a good workout. Current strategy for maintaining…
  • ^^^ Totally agree. Mine had to be resized 3 times. :( I should have waited till I reached my goal weight. But I was impatient.
  • 214 pounds to 120 pounds= -94 pounds
  • Mama of 3 here. Ages 8 years, 6 years, and almost 2 years. :)
  • Truly inspiring. You are amazing.
  • Wow. :) You look fantastic. Good job.
  • Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. You judge the kind of person I am by my reply. Yet you don't know me, the type of person I am, or how much time I have on my hands. Yet you assumed all of that based on your judgment of my response. If a person does not want any comments about their diary they should not open it…
  • I have the same discs that are listed in this reply. Did you purchase your set through beachbody or another site? I have made the mistake of purchasing a program from ebay and found some of my discs were missing even though the set was "new" and still wrapped. I have been hearing about scams, by individuals, through resale…
  • Wal*Mart has some exercise machines for a decent price. I had a stair stepper that was $97. It lasted for years, till I gave it way.
  • I know what you mean. I have deleted people over eating too little, especially if all they eat is junk (no fruits or veggies). I had one girl eat 950ish calories and complain about feeling so full and disgusting. I was worried about her but she wouldn't listen to anyone's concerns. It sounds mean, but I delete anyone who…
  • Good job. :D I can tell a difference. Keep up the good work.
  • Wow. I have lost a calf and an ostrich egg.
  • My husband is a structural welder/ fitter. He believes he gets his workout at work. So no he does not exercise. He drinks, not to get drunk just a few, almost every night. He can eat just about anything he wants and not gain. He joined me for a 30 day challenge to give working out a chance. But I don't see him sticking to…
  • Ooo. Mexican food always gets me. :D Good luck. Avoid the rice, tortilla chips, rice, and tortillas. Maybe look for some grilled chicken with a small veggie side.
  • If my calories are low and I am not hungry, I will eat to meet calorie limit. However, if I feel full then I won't. I will just save the calories for later and have a splurge meal. But I am in maintenance and trying not to lose.
  • Hi there. I am soon to be 31 (Sept). I have 3 kiddos ages 8 yrs, 6 yrs, and 21 months. Always looking for mommy friends who understand how hard this journey is with little ones to care for too, so feel free to add me. :D
  • My doctor told me that I should never eat after 5 pm. He recommended I eat 1000 to 1500 calories to maintain. Um... I totally eat after 5 every single night. I eat 1850 to 2100 to maintain.
  • I had 1 cup of Post Grape Nuts with a mini box of raisins & almond milk. Oh... and coffee with sugar-free creamer & Ideal sugar.
  • Way 2 go. You look great. :D & yes.... the scale is evil. I had the same obsession with the scale. It took a while to break the obsession and rely on the tape measure and B/A photos.
