I also DISAGREE! 5 HALF marathon’s including a 26.2 in the Fall. 18 races total! Used to morbidly obese highest weight 398 pounds. Running is the ultimate cardio! Do WHAT works for YOU! HRM are the best and most accurate. APPs LIKE Endomando, MFP and other over est by at least 20%. Since i've purchased my HRM i would compare and its always over est. Invest in a HRM if possible.

From my research machines like the treadmill ect over est by 20% therefore if you can get a HRM which i have just this past Monday use that number instead.

I just received my HRM Monday and i did the same I AVERAGE between MFP, Polar HRM and Endomando. I went with the HRM.

@TeeA86 One regret that I have in life is leting MY weight be an issue for so many years. Dont do it I have missed out on so many things because of it and I have put up with so much crap because i didnt have self worth. Your so young,blessed and i know beautiful dont let fear win.

Yep, finished the program right before the New Year and have been running everyday since. I'll be doing my first 10k on March 24th! good luck it works.

When I started out @ 298 pounds I lost my first 60 pounds using Leslie Sansone walk at home cd and walking during my lunch breaks no way was i comfortable to get on a bike.
