YES. 1200 is low to start with even without exercise. dont listen to ppl telling you to 'oh just starve yourself and eat them back when you slip'. They are basically saying it will be less worse when you develop an eating disorder and you start binge eating. just don't do it.

Do some HIIT, it generally does the trick to shock your metabolism. Other than that yea you might need to reduce your calories more or maybe you are underestimating what you eat.

Weight spiking is normal if you weigh yourself every day. Building so much muscle suddenly on a deficit is nonsense though, it is impossible to build that much muscle in that short time if at all on a deficit to acount for the upspikes.

This is not good man, how much do you have left to loose ? It's always easier to cut back down on food rather than go overboard on exercise. If you post a bit more info about you I'm sure we can offer some advice. :)
