Awesome! Just the inspiration I am looking for!

Great job! Thanks for posting. It really is inspiring!

Love this post! I never thought of paying attention to how many days. But this IS so important! My efforts have derailed every time I take a break from logging. Kudos to all of you!

Thanks for posting this!

I learned my lesson too. I've been losing and gaining the same 45 lbs since 2010. Down when I log and up when I don't.

Thanks to all those who posted! Congrats to all! You are such an inspiration!

Could it be close to your time of the month? I always go up a bit or stall just before and during. I can count on about 3-4 lbs lost immediately after. Don't be too reliant on the scale because a few drinks, some salty food or TOM can keep it from budging! Some people only weigh themselves once a week to minimize such…

As many have said the counters here are misleading. Don"t rely on the database here to keep track of potassium! Most foods in the database don't include the potassium content. In fact, I don't think most food labels list it.

Exactly!! Count your blessings and keep at it!

I will look for this! Does Whole Foods carry this?

I must have made it wrong! My son is a vegetarian and we try to accommodate him. I don't think anyone that has tasted it, my son included, enjoys it. So, what would a vegetarian prefer for Thanksgiving?

Up until this month, I've never been able to do the yoga pose child's pose with my head resting on the ground. My center of gravity has been off and I've been resting my head on my hands. Next currently unattainable yoga goal: crow pose, also a center of gravity issue.

If it's good enough for my heart, lungs and brain it's good enough for me. And, yes, more deficit please.

full disclosure: I didn't read any other comments. When my Akita (LARGE breed) was a puppy, he needed to take frequent breaks. He would literally just lay down. At 9 mos, your puppy may be closer to full grown than mine was when he needed a mid-walk nap. Be patient if your little dog needs to build up a little stamina!

this is my new favorite

Reading these posts is helpful because it keeps me focused and on track! :flowerforyou:

You are an 18 year old male. You are probably still growing and enjoying the fastest metabolism of your life....and probably of any other demographic group on MFP. If weight loss doesn't happen quickly for you then God help us all.

Eat more protein because that keeps you from feeling hungry. A hard boiled egg is 70 calories. As far as your question, if you are binge eating regularly are you really eating 1200? Try eating a few more calories, particularly your exercise calories, and see how that works for you. Some time ago, there was a lot of…

Welcome back! My story is so similar. I'm on MFP round 3. Hoping to make this one stick, too! My doc recently said that it takes 7 attempts to adopt a new behavior. This is the 7th attempt that I can recall. Let's both make it stick this time!

Sweetest thing I've read today. :flowerforyou:

:embarassed: Forgive me if this is callous but don't the anorexic sites say that being cold burns more calories (saw an article once)? So there may be a silver lining
-
That is AWESOME!!! Good for you for taking charge of your health and your life!

Uh oh....are the meaners out today? Bottom line, you get out of the program exactly what you put in. However, T.O.M derails me for about 2 weeks every single month :ohwell: Be patient. Be very diligent If you really want to see results. And, pay attention to the results you get based on what you eat and drink. For me,…

I'm wondering how one would know if it is pretty accurate. It takes into account your age, sex, weight and uses this info and your heart rate to calculate calories burned. You wear a chest strap that sends signals to your wrist watch. I think the heart rate tracker is accurate and trust that the formulas are accurate. Most…

Can you imagine if we didn't wean our young at a very young age? Nursing mothers already are judged for nursing into the toddler years!

Sometimes life and reality (and pain) get in the way of good intentions. Remove that...piece of cake. That's why none of us are overweight. Oh and keeping it off is a cinch, too.

Full disclosure: I'm not a runner but hubby is planning to do a 5K in a few weeks. He, also, has just started to increase his distance but plans to take it fairly slow and probably walk a portion. Not bad for a 50 year old new runner! Elite athletes probably don't focus their energy on 5k runs. Perhaps he is thinking of…

You do realize that Thanksgiving is less than 4 weeks away? 10lbs is pretty ambitious in such a short time. That said, weight loss is 80-85% nutrition and 15-20% exercise. Keep a good eye on nutrition and you are 80% there! Be patient. 2lbs/ per week is a reasonable goal and the max amount to be considered healthy.
