this seemed dubious so i did the math.
1 lb of fat in grams is 454g of fat.
1g of fat is 9 calories
Therefore, 9*454 = 4086!! That's 586 difference!
What about muscle? 454 grams of muscle at 4cal/protein gram is... 1816 calories!
So fat is actually 4086 calories per pound
Muscle is 1816 calories per pound. That means it takes twice as much muscle in a pound of fat
Which means that a pound of muscle weighs MORE THAN DOUBLE a pound of fat.
Proven with math.

Stop thinking of calorie as a measurement of weight and start thinking of a metric unit of energy.
Science!0 -
What did you eat? A pound of muscle weighs more than a pound of fat.
Why would anyone eat a pound of muscle?
Mussels go great with beer.
But so does beer.
CHEERS!0 -
um no. And never weigh yourself right after eating. The water is going to add on weight too. Chill out you didn't gain weight. Keep eating right and weight yourself again later in the week before you eat a 1,000 calorie lunch.0

Have you checked your hymien discombobulator?
See a doctor about it, sometimes it can affect your trilomthicarus, which basically increases your calorie intake by a percentage.
Seems impossible I know but, stranger things have happened.
Only a doctor can tell you at this point.
I think you mean "hymen," and mine alone weighed at least 5 pounds... glad I got rid of that sucker!0 -
you must first realize that there are no calories and pounds \m/0 -
I once drank and ate 9 lbs right before a weigh in for a biggest loser contest. it hurt but it was nice when I had dropped 15lbs on the first weigh in
my car weighs a lot of calories0 -

Wow.. you mean no one told you that you have to eat it while standing on one foot while petting a kitten and balancing a ball on your nose?? Them's the breaks man. 1 foot, kitten and a ball.. or you will gain weight!
Now I totally have to try that when I get home. Just have to find a kitten. Here kitty..kitty..kitty.0 -
I am sure others have said it but the food you are digesting does not count like that. 3500 calories of apples weighs way more than a lb but once it is digested and passed it will only add 1 lb of body mass to you.0

Wow. Actually a pound of muscle and a pound of fat both weigh the same. 16 ounces. The difference is that a pound of muscle takes up less space than a pound of fat.
Anyways - your weight naturally fluctuates up to 5 pounds per day. This is why you should weigh yourself once a day, at the same time of day , to get the best results.0 -
Not sure if trolling, or just stupid...0
