  • I was very scared when I started maintaining, so you are not alone! In order to keep myself encouraged and in order, I started weight training 3 times a week (for about 30 minutes-45 minutes each day). At first, I started putting on weight, but this was because of initial water weight and my body adjusting. I started at my…
  • I am 5'7" with a medium frame and when I started my goal was 130 ( I started at about 150). I got down to 128 and then decided to start strength training. I started about 4 months ago and I am now at about 135. I feel great and think I look much better than I did at 128. So, don't let the number on the scale drive you too…
  • I totally understand! I went from about 150 to 128 and maybe lost a half a size. I didn't understand how I could lose so much weight and still be a damn size 8! It wasn't until I actually started working out and toning up that I went down a full size. It freaked me out a bit because I went from 128 to about 130-132 after 6…
  • I was just diagnosed in the past few month with IBS after having issues the past couple years. I am still trying to figure out my trigger foods. I know that eating mostly vegetarian and incorporating some chicken and fish has helped a lot. I try to stay away from anything heavy: fried, cream sauces and other dairy (ice…

  • I'm 5'7" and I started at about 150ish. Got down to 125 (whoops too skinny) then got back up to 130. Now I am just trying to build muscle, aim for a good body fat percentage and not worry to much about the numbers :).
  • From a fellow twin, I apologize in advance for the shenanigans! I promise that it pays off when they are old enough to run errands and carry groceries in :D.
  • Awesome! I am on week three of lifting and I am loving it :D. It is great to hear that you had so much success and this is great motivation for me to keep on strength training. Thanks for sharing!
  • I loved Oregon trail! I was also a huge fan of the lesser known Amazon trail. Yukon Trail was just aight.
  • I saw that today, too! Although, I thought that I saw somewhere that it was a browser MMO...I am not positive about that. But I gagged a little bit thinking about a browser MMO.
  • Agreed with above posters! I was also scared to switch to maintenance, but I added back calories a little at a time and I have been maintaining for months, now! Don't be scurred, give it a try :).
  • Exactly this. Please make sure that you at least make an appointment to talk this out with a professional. I am sure enlisting a therapist would help you work out a lot of the issues if you are apprehensive about approaching a facility.
  • Oh my...You look absolutely amazing! Excellent work and I can't even imagine how much time, energy and focus that took. GRATS!
  • Hey OP! I am 5'7" and currently about 128-130lbs. I just started strength training to put on more muscle weight and here are some of the things that I do: -Strength Training/Weight Lifting 3 days a week (Mon, Wed, Fri). -I only do about 10-15 minutes of warm up cardio in the beginning to get my muscles warmed up. I was…
  • Great post, thank you!
  • I definitely agree and can empathize with this! Its important to make sure that you are in a good mental state before you move on to a good physical state. There are a lot of great suggestions and links on this thread, so I don't need to repeat them. I really hope that you take all of these comments to heart and if you…
  • I got to play a bit of the beta and I am very excited! The environments are gorgeous and I had ton of fun whacking away on my Barb :).

  • Very well put. I like this. I also eat all my exercise calories and have shrunk from a size 08 to a size 06 in the past three months.
  • I am by no means an expert (and just started myself!) but I would say whatever weight that allows you to do 3 sets, 8-10 reps before becoming too difficult to keep proper form. The last two sets should be challenging-otherwise I would up the weight slightly. Just my two cents! Go newbie weight lifters!
  • GORGEOUS! You should be so proud :D.
  • I looooove Trader Joes! I am there at least two or three times a week :D. Creamy Almond Butter Mango Lassi Chilli lime cashews All of their Frozen Indian entrees are delicious! Tom Yam Soup Cooked Lentils Organic Pea Shoots I am now drooling just thinking about it...
  • Evacuate the Dancefloor by Cascada! Perfect workout song :D.
  • Exactly this! I wasn't aware that this was even an option until I got my first "Big Girl" hair cut (I actually went to a salon instead of Supercuts or some other 15$ hair joint). I sat down in the chair and basically said "Look, I am not good with hair and I don't like spending a lot of time on it. Can you do something…
  • During the week I am pretty fast, and I have the benefit of working someplace really casual, so I don't need to worry about what t-shirt or jeans I am putting on :) 15 minute shower in the morning 10 minutes to makeup and brush teeth, put stuff in my hair 5 minutes to get dressed On the weekends, I like to take my time and…
  • I was there last year for about a week and a half and LOVED it! There was a lot of amazing food, so make sure you get to try it all and just eat smaller portions. Bibimbap is my favorite and it is usually topped with an egg, veggies and sometimes beef (over rice). Also, they have some of the best beef that I have ever had,…
