I ended up with a steroid injection into the ankle/ligament area. I can now walk almost pain free. Will start the treadmill in the morning before work at a 'normal walking' pace. I am not suppose to push it! I went to physio also....funny, I felt they asked better questions and taking a better history than the physicians…

I LOVE reading all the positive comments....it really is motivational to stick to my caloric plan and try to get my exercising in....even with a bum foot! Great job to all!!! And a big CONGRATS to those who are losing the weight now!!

Can totally relate to your injury Lisa...I did the same..well I did not fall down the stairs (just glad you did not break anything...I would have cracked my head!). I tore the ATF ligament in my right ankle on Friday....7 days ago. Painful and you do feel helpless as to what activities you can do....which is not much but…

Well I am moving from overseas back to the USA in November, so each day I am working on decluttering and getting rid of items that I no longer need, use, or want. So I hit the book shelves and just started to chuck out books...actually will donate them to an animal society garage sale, but feels great to 'downsize'. I am…

You are very lucky to have such a wonderful place to walk...and with a cute partner too!

Depends on where you live in the world! LOL Last week and this week we are running about 46 C -48 C (about 114-118 F ) with humidity. A tad bit hot and humid to be breathing outside let alone walking! But my indoor treadmill will be fine!

Ron, just get a lot of rest, the usual Vit C. And don't let the bronchitis get to 'chesty' as that could lead to a nasty chest infection. Rest is the best! Nancy

Glad you are determined to stick to your plan! You can do it!!

Day 2 , Sept 2, of our week long challenge...I completed 40 minutes on the treadmill and tried to cut back on calories today. So far, so good. Hope to keep it up tomorrow.

You are very inspiring Melissa! Congrats on your weight loss!! And journey to get healthy!!

Ok, On Sept 1, I completed at 55 minute walk on the treadmill. Done! Walked faster than my normal pace which is good. Weighed myself...which was NOT good!! But....moving forward and determined to get more physically fit plus get some weight loss in my last 76 days here before the BIG move home!!

Ron, first off, welcome to the group. I will join you on this one. I have recently read that 40 minutes of walking (working up to a sweat) 6 days a week is what someone my age/gender needs (I am the oldest of this MOBO group). I have been walking for minimum of 40 minutes, max of 60 on my treadmill every morning for a…

Hello all, i am Nancy. I have been on MFP for about 1 1/2 yrs....did a great job initially, but then later gained it back. I think 20 pounds is reasonable by Christmas, so I am happy to join this group.

Postive thoughts and prayers going out to your dad Cari.

My day went fairly well, thanks. I have started to drink a protein shake each day and am hoping it curbs the appetite. Sticking to not eating after 6 pm too. I am going to start my 'cookware/dishware' "category" this weekend and declutter those. I have so much of those items, I can not bring them all home, so I need to…

I read a great book on decluttering. The title is "the life-changing magic of tidying up' by a japanese women called Marie Kondo. She has great suggestions and I have followed them as I declutter and get rid of stuff for my move home in November. There are some things she suggests like: 1. Do not declutter little by…
