I have one on the way. It's right for me because one of my short term goals is to get 10,000 steps per day. Seems natural that to do that, I need a pedometer of some kind. I was able to build my own pita on their website and get detailed nutritional value in under 1 minute. I have never visited their site before. It's YOUR responsibility to educate yourself on nutritional values of the food you eat.

What matters most is sustainability. If I ate more calories at breakfast than at dinner, I would ragequit within 2 days and just go back to the lifestyle that made me a fat dude. Do what works for you.

That addresses two of the theories people suggested. But keep the others in mind. Water weight, possible muscle gain, etc. Plateaus like this are a part of the process. As others have said, weight loss is not linear. Just stick with it and don't get discouraged.

I agree about overestimating the calorie burn. The treadmill at my gym tells me I burn 150-200 calories for a 20 minute session, whereas MFP tells me 20 minutes at that pace is like 500+ calories. I always log the lower number.
