  • Absolutely ditto to Walmart - they have reasonably priced leggings/yoga pants/tops. Old Navy is another really good option for reasonably priced items. Old Navy has up to XXL in the store (which is really big - old navy sizes run huge) and bigger sizes online. I have also found some really cheap XXL items at Sam's Club.
  • Right now, the things on my 15 minute menu are: (not so sure they are kid friendly, but . . . ) Pita Pizzas: Whole wheat Pita, jarred marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and toppings. Bake it up! Shrimp quesadillas: I thaw some precooked shrimp, and put it between a tortilla with vegis and low-fat cheese. Then I put them on…
  • Hi all! I added a bunch of you. Feel free to add me if you want!
  • I am adding a lot of you above! Feel free to add me too :-)
  • I really like having cheese and deli meat for breakfast in the morning! Its easy to snack on at my desk too :-)
  • Just eat small portions - and you will be fine :-)

  • My boyfriend recently introduced me to his childhood favorite food - ketchup noodles. Start with boiled macaroni. Squirt ketchup into the pot, and pour in heavy cream, a dash of salt, and a dash of sugar. It is actually crazy good - and highly caloric ;-)
  • Why not just eat pizza, bread, cheese, and chocolate, and stay in your calorie allowance? I had cheese, crackers, and deli meat for breakfast. This afternoon, after lunch, I will have a fun sized candy bar. Tonight, I will eat a couple slices of Friday night pizza. All in the calorie budget.
  • I love sandwiches! Why not switch it up, and have all three kinds of sandwiches - whatever suits your fancy that particular day. If you do go with peanut butter, know that peanut butter is a food item that is commonly measured inaccurately, so I would suggest either using a food scale, or adding on some more calories than…
  • I love oatmeal. I make mine with milk, and swirl in a tablespoon of peanut butter when I am done. That helps me get my oatmeal up to about 19 or 20 g (8g in 2 packets of oatmeal, 8 g in 1 cup skim milk, 3 or 4 g in peanut butter). I drink a cup of milk with my lunch. Another 8 g of protein, and helps me stay full longer.…
  • I currently don't count two days a week. Usually Friday and Saturday, but sometimes it varies. I'm having a dinner party at my house tonight, so I will eat as I usually do during the day today, and will just have what I want tonight. It works for me. I'm losing weight on a consistent basis. It keeps me sane and detached…
  • I would order exactly what you usually get! Eat a few hundred calories less for lunch that day, and a few hundred calories less overall the next few days. Or just throw in an extra work out or two. It will all even out. I'm assuming you don't go out for fancy steak dinner all the time - so get what you like, and enjoy your…
  • How many calories a day are you eating? What percentage of protein are you aiming for? At the advice of others, I have my macros set at 40% carbs, 30% fat, and 30% protein. So based on how many calories I eat a day, my protein goal is about 126g. I on average only get about 90g per day, but I don't do protein…
  • Air popped popcorn! No butter. Just cajun seasoning.
  • I just keep thinking about this. You may not be able to change your entire family's eating preferences in one swoop, but you must have some meals to yourself, right? In my current relationship, I eat breakfast and lunch on my own (usually at work) and eat lunch with my significant other. Is it possible to focus on making…
  • I spent four years in a relationship with a man that was addicted to food. I was too. Going out to eat together and eating grand meals of ridiculous caloric portions was a way that we bonded and got close. I tried to lose weight several times while we were dating, and always ended up quitting because of the strain it…
  • First of all - you are way brave sharing your dairy. I've had my own 1000 calorie McDonald's breakfast days, and I don't judge. I added up all of the calories you've eaten over the last 15 days, and averaged them. You are eating on average about 2350-2400 calories a day, give or take a little. So if your goal is 1800, the…
  • I lost 16 pounds in March eating about 1800 calories a day, with at least 6 days that month in the 3000 calorie range, starting at 311, now at 295. I also walked for half an hour about twice a week. While I expect my weight loss to slow down significantly next month, you can and will lose weight eating more! As far as for…
  • I've never had this problem - but one week with no weight loss is not something that would worry me.
  • My code still has some uses too if anyone wants to try: VK7FGPXMP You get your first and fifth box free.
  • Unless I am imagining things, your ticker says you have lost 100 pounds. It appears you know what is working for you. :-) Is being told you aren't consuming enough calories the only problem you find with your diet? What are your goals?
  • Calculating food like a buffalo chicken wrap from a cafeteria with unknown calories can be really hard. When I get in this situation, I handle it one of two ways. The first, I surf some restaurant websites to try and find a restaurant that 1. has something that looks similar to what I ate, and 2. has nutrition information…
  • I really like pre-cooked jumbo shrimp! All you have to do is thaw it (takes 2 minutes).
  • I like the "You Can Trust a Skinny Cook" cookbook, or the Skinny Taste website for recipes! Every week I prep a bunch of fruit and veggies, and I usually just eat that for dinner with some sort of meat. Tonight, I'm baking a chicken breast in barbeque sauce, roasting some baby carrots in a tiny bit of olive oil and thyme,…
  • Don't feel guilty for eating. Look at your calorie GOAL and your other GOALS and try to hit them. If you are doing that, you are right on track!
  • I agree with all of the above about increasing the amount you are eating, and going for a smaller weekly loss. A few years ago, I was counting calories. It had been maybe 2 or 3 weeks in a row that I didn't have a loss, when I thought I should. I got mad, and went and ate a Big Mac and Blizzard!! Three days later, once all…
  • My style is to have more of a substantial meal - but one of my friends who is a more of a "grazer" always packs lunch for work at her desk which usually includes: nuts, fruit, protein shakes, deli meats, chips/salsa, hard boiled eggs, etc.
  • McDonalds - a quarter pounder with cheese with 520 calories, and with some apple slices, would fill me up! Same thing with a Big Mac or most of their other large sandwiches. I second the happy meals mentioned above. A fish filet and a fruit and yogurt parfait is 540 calories. KFC - 2 piece dark meat meal with grilled…
  • I feel like almost all bathroom scales lack in precision. The ones I've had the worst luck with are the Health-O-Meter ones are Walmart. Those can sometimes give me a 7 pound difference when stepping on and off. I few years ago I got at Taylor one at Kmart that was really good. I just replaced with a Taylor one at Walmart…
  • I personally don't like plain yogurt, greek or regular. But, I do like getting one of the large containers of plain low fat greek yogurt, putting a serving in a small tupperware, and then adding frozen berries. I make this up the night before, and eat it in the morning. As the fruit thaws, the flavors spread into the…
