  • Thanks for the replies! Today was tough as I had a lunch meeting, but I did pretty well keeping on track. Lunches out of the office are always so hard!
  • Because of this right here. If I am not eating it every night I want to eat the real thing. There is nothing more delicious than a pure beef burger, grilled with all the fixens! I am not substituting that kind of taste. If I am not eating every night then I don't care how bad it is for me once in a while. Rarely do I eat a…
  • It is harder to lose the weight than it was to gain it. If it was easy we wouldn't struggle with it. Keep fighting and you will get into those other pants, dresses and skirts. You will even be able to go out and buy some new ones, because those will eventually become your fat clothes! Don't give up!
  • I understand where you are coming from. Everyone in my house eats what they want and they don't seem to care if they are overweight or not. I try to eat healthy and feel like I am sabotaged all the time. I just quit buying the crap. If they want crap, they have to get it themselves and if my husband wants it he has to keep…
  • Rude! I bring in sweet potatoes for lunch, but I microwave them at home while getting ready in the morning and then just heat it up for lunch. Suggest that to him.
  • I find that people that are too busy worrying about what I am having for lunch and how it smells must not have enough work to do. I simply point that out to them to shut them up. I eat what I want and if some one else brings in stinky food, I don't complain about it. I personally don't think the fish smell is as bad as…
  • I wear whatever panties I have been wearing that day. No need to dirty another pair. Perhaps you could try the under armor compression shorts or something. Maybe they would help.
  • Good for you! I am certainly not as fit as I can be even though I have finally reached goal weight, so when I see some one struggling or maybe can't do the same workout as me, I think good for them. At least you are out improving yourself and reaching your goals. Shame on the people that make anyone feel bad about…
  • If you aren't married and no kids now is definitely the time to break things off. I am kind of in the same boat, I find everything about my husband annoying, even his chewing. If it was simple I would have been gone years ago, but we have kids so it is just not that easy. Get out now while you can before you find yourself…
  • I like the black better. I think it flatters you more.
  • regular pancakes! lol I tried quinoa and it is disgusting.
  • My husband took my 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 with a diesel and stuck me with a 2007 Dodge Nitro. Don't think I will ever forgive him.
  • Holy Moly! You look great! Good work, keep it up.
  • There is an old saying spare the rod spoil the child. Not really sure what that has to do with spanking, but I don't think there are times when a child needs to be spanked. I spanked my kids and still will. I was just talking to my now 20 year old daughter and about it because she works in a day care and sees all kinds of…
  • I think the fitbit estimates calories burned too high. I never eat all mine back.
  • You need to find what works for you. What works for everyone else may not be the right anwer for you. I personally try never to eat all of my exercise calories back, but if I didn't eat some of them it would be really hard for me to stay under. 1200 calories is just not enough food.
  • I weigh in every week, even if I know I am not going to like what I see on the scale. Keeps my in check.
  • I have 2 kids, a daughter age 20 and in her 3rd year of college and my son 14 who is a freshman in high school. I think my kids are pretty darn good, but the best complement is to hear other people say it. My kids may misbehave at home, but I get complements on my kids behaviour all the time, from church, their friends…
  • Can't wait for MIke and Molly and 2 Broke Girls to come back on next week!
  • I try to avoid buffets, especially the chinese places. It is hard to show restraint there. When I do go I usually end up over eating so I try to stay away.
  • Unfortunately sounds like jealousy to me. Maybe she should join you. If you truly enjoy it keep at it. There are worse things you could be doing.
  • Sitting in a fire truck while doing some volunteer work in the city with the Cincinnati Fire Fighters. Some cute fire guys too!
  • I like the eliptical on days I need to burn a lot of calories in a short amount of time. Yesterday I was on for 40 minutes and according to the machine I burned 653 calories and yes I did enter my weight. Of course I never eat that many calories back because I don't trust it is accurate considering I get a different amount…
  • Personally I would not. I don't consider that exercise. I am sure I burn a calorie or two sitting at my desk working, but I don't log it and I would consider driving the same thing.
  • My mom can fold a fitted sheet and it looks just like a flat sheet when she is done. I wasn't so lucky to inherit that talent so I just wash, dry and then put right back on the bed, no folding needed. :)
  • I prefer to exercise alone. He can't keep up.
  • Nope, don't care one little bit about my birthday. No one has ever made a big deal of my birthday so I guess I grew up with the notion that it is just another day and who cares. I am only getting older and one of these days they will stop altogether. It makes it hard to care about anyone else's birthday though. My kids…
  • Oh, so many but I think the one that makes people sound the dumbest is Aks. It is Ask people. Learn the language and how to speak it.
  • Take some acidophilus or a probiotic. Not sure if I spelled correctly, but you get the point.
  • Hard decision to make. I hate shaving my legs, but it is a task that must be done. Maybe instead of a razor you could buy her an electric shaver. Not as much risk there as long as she doesn't try to use it in the tub. Easy solution and that way if she wants to use it you don't have to worry and she won't have to be picked…
