My mom can fold a fitted sheet and it looks just like a flat sheet when she is done. I wasn't so lucky to inherit that talent so I just wash, dry and then put right back on the bed, no folding needed. :)

If by "fold" you mean "wad in a ball" then, yes.

    I stopped trying.....

Seems pointless to me. A rough-justice folding (or even just cramming it into a ball) seems to be more efficient. I mean, when it is not in your closet, you cover it up with a top sheet and comforter and you lay on it. Who cares if you folded it "right"?

Is this a fitness/diet site or a laundry site?

I would throw it in a ball and put it in a closet....

OR listen to the other peoples advice on here :D

I just fold the sides and corners down so that I have a flat piece of fabric to work with. You need a big flat space like a folding table or bed to do it. It's not hard.

This would be the Chit-chat forum, actually.

I always fold it in half once, then roll it up like a sleeping bag. That also makes it easier to tell the fitted sheets from the flat sheets when glancing into the closet.

I can fold them like nobody's business!!

Tuck the corners inside each other, then lay the "square" on a table. Fold 1/3 of the fabric towards the middle and then fold the fabric over again creating a long rectangular piece. Next fold the long piece by 3rds again, towards the middle from one end and then repeated with the other end. You get a perfectly folded piece of material.

If you can visualize that... super easy with just one person :)

Yes, I can. My dad will actually save all of his for when I come over and then have me fold his too. He's 61, I'm 31... I'm not quite sure how he survived before I started doing this for him... Men, eh?

This is the "chat" section of a fitness site. So if folding properly burning calories, it's relevant.

A lovely little trick I do...I do have 2 or 3 sets of sheets. I fold the fitted one the best I can. Fold the flat sheet and tuck both of those into the matching pillowcase. Then, regardless of how well you can fold the fitted sheet, it is at least flattened and tucked away neatly, rather than chunking it into the linen closet aka avalanche central.

You fold sheets?! We have one set. It goes on the bed, gets put in the washing machine/dryer on clean sheet day, and goes back on the bed before sleeping time. No folding involved. When we wear holes in them, I buy new ones. End of story.

Nope and I don't bother with it. I roll it up and stuff it in the cedar chest.
