  • I do! I can't even begin to count the times I have skipped a workout because people were watching me. It can get so distracting.
  • Instead of being in "diet mode" just adjust your normal eating ( ie still making hamburgers for dinner but using turkey or vegetarian meat). Otherwise this transition won't be permanent since no one can survive on 700 calories a day so you'll be sure to go back to your old ways and weight. I think just making healthier…
  • No pudge fudge brownie mix is my savior every 5-7 days of the month! Especially with raspberries and cool whip on top. It is so good and 120 calories.
  • Congrats! What's the secret?
  • maybe she smelled all of the other dogs on your foster dog...... just a thought. I hope you and they're all feeling better now!

  • Veganstore.com has been my pal many a times. They have great deals.
  • Ana Caban for beginners is great and MTV pilates is good too.

  • I'd try overstock.com. There are really good discounts with reviews and cheap shipping. It's at least worth a gander. Hey, and if you're lucky you can find one with a cup holder for your iced tea. :)
  • I'm really shy about it and I've just recently bought a short skirt for my boyfriend's eyes only. I do feel like a moron in it but he absolutely loved it! He was so supportive and encouraging when I had it on, he really made it a positive experience. And now instead of me being embarrassed of my jiggly legs, it's all the…
  • I really like Jillian Michaels and Kristin McGee. I have Jillian's cardio kickbox dvd and it's a great 25 minute workout that really gets your heart pumping. I absolutely love Kristin McGee's videos. She does the MTV yoga and pilates. I love both practices but she really makes it challenging and enjoyable. Good luck!
  • I was the same way but fortunately summer came along, which meant swimming, hiking, and walking/running outdoors. Sometimes you just need a new view. I also ditched the gym and got into horseback riding lessons and yoga classes. They're both things I love and I hardly consider them a workout because I'd be doing them…
  • I know this is kind of backwards but I started eating more dessert. I would get healthier recipes and try to eat dessert about 3-4 times a week. Now I don't feel so tempted since I see dessert as more of a casual thing instead of splurging. Of course, the desserts were healthier but still satisfying (ie chocolate covered…
  • I've been a vegetarian for quite some time now. It really is great for animal rights and your health! I suggest the boca original burgers, chik'n patties(just like the real thing!), and chik'n nuggets. Other than that I try to eat tons of fruits and veggies. It isn't as hard as people think it is and you will see and feel…
  • Diets are frustrating and change does come with time. Maybe just starting off eating a few more fruits and veggies, drinking more water, and only slightly cutting back your calories is enough for you right now. As you become strong in those habits, then you could add exercise, lower your calories a little more, ect. I had…
  • I love winsor pilates! It works great on your abs and flexibility. You should try it.
  • I haven't done the shred but I have the cardio kickbox dvd and it's awesome! It's only 25 minutes but it really does get your heart pumping. I love to do it days when I'm really busy and I don't have time to hit the gym.
  • Good luck! I had the same problem with my boyfriend when I first started trying to lose weight. I ended up having to turn him onto a healthier lifestyle because it was just not happening with his kind of food. The crazy thing is that he's so scrawny even though he eats a good 3,000 calories a day. On the days you work I'd…
  • I went through that at the beginning of summer. I just wasn't interested in working out or cutting calories at all. Then, I decided to just enjoy summer and not worry about burning a certain amount of calories a day. I skipped the gym and went to the tennis courts, hiking trails, or to the horse riding stable. I also ate…
  • I haven't done that cleanse specifically but I did do another. It really does clean out your insides and you'll probably notice a little loss in weight just from waste leaving your body. I've read that the longer cleanses are typically the safest and most effective. I wouldn't suggest any of those 2 day miracle ones since…
  • I upped my calories because my personal trainer said it would rev my metabolism up and start my weight loss again. I was skeptical and looked it up online and it was suggested several places but I just haven't heard of any actual success stories....
  • Please! I need at least one success story. I upped my calories from 1300 to 1650 for the next 5 days and I am a nervous reck. I'm so afraid of gaining the weight back. Anyone have any positive feedback on this?
  • hello. I had this problem when I was still in "diet mode" . It's less of a problem now that I've brought more real food back into my diet. Instead of a slimfast for breakfast I'll have two low fat waffles and a cup of strawberry yogurt and instead of a lean cuisine for lunch I'll have a Subway veggie sub and baked chips.…
  • It really is hard getting started again but I've found it best for long-term weight loss to work out in a manner in which you enjoy. I really love pilates ,yoga, and power walking. Just try to enjoy it as much as possible or you'll probably go back to your old ways! Good luck!
  • I put it in as stretching/hatha yoga. Every other site I've been on usually keeps pilates and yoga in the same calorie burning amount (usually within a few calories)

  • I am going through exactly the same thing! I started off 10 lbs away from my goal of 115 lbs and now I'm almost back to 130! This is so frustrating and when your so close to what you worked so hard for, the weight being muscle still isn't great news. I've been trying to stick to 1300 calories and working out but I don't…
  • I've been thinking about doing the same but I'm too nervous to. I went from 1200 to 1300 and thats the highest I've been able to go so far without really panicking. I'm just hoping if I stay were I'm at in calories and workout more my plateau will give. Good luck!
  • Maybe you could just health up the meals he already eats ( i.e. lasagna w/ low fat cheese and lean beef, extra veggies for dinner and cooking less of the entree so he'll fill up on those instead of the high calorie stuff, and weight watchers desserts for the entire family) I've heard that it's best to focus on the entire…
  • Congratulations! That is so great to hear and is so inspiring! Is that how your supposed to break a plateau? I haven't budged on the scale for weeks and I'm getting kind of concerned.... At best its just a stuck spot that'll take a little time to get over, but at worst I'm sleep walking to the fridge and binging on those…
  • Thank you all for your advice. It's really much appreciated! Its also nice to see someone who's a lover of yoga as well. Quite inspiring! Namaste
  • Hello! For the record, I'm a horrible runner but trying to get better (I'm not called turtle for nothing :) ) I try to incorporate jogging into my walks but it's not very far or fast. My question is is how do I put that into my exercise log? Right now I'm just putting the length of my walk/ jog in as walking 4mph in the…
