Not wanting to lose any more, this is a minimum weight for me, not been this for around 30 years. Have a doc's appt next week as I have been losing too easily the past few months and I am now quite concerned. I have been on this site since 2008 apart from a few months last year, and know how hard it can be to lose when…

I am hypo too and on (at the moment) 100mg levothyroxine daily. 18 months on and they are still trying to find the correct dosage!

You look brilliant and so happy, well done! Put it in perspective with the numbers, another 6lbs and you would have lost the whole of me ....scary!! ::flowerforyou:

Don't know if they have deep meaning but these evoke bitter/sweet memories for me ... "Save the last dance for me" by The Drifters, memories of my Dad and my childhood "Catch the Wind" by Donovan ...The folk club my ex and I would go to when we first met "Saturdy Night" by Bon Jovi ...helped me get through the lowest…

I never drink fizzies nor ordinary coffee, it has to be decaff. I have to force myself to drink water these days and yet for years and years I drank water mostly, with tea and coffee only on rare occasions! Strange how you change over the years.

You are never ever too old to take care of yourself, the docs say that even making changes to your lifestle in your eighties can improve your fitness and extend your life. Keep it up !

UK Wales Pop on occasionally to see who is doing what these days as I am not monitoring myself at the moment. This is a fabulous site though and I have seen the numbers swell over the years so we must all be doing something right! :drinker:

Lord no, 23 is a good age. I married at 18 and had my first at 22, 2nd at ,24 then third at 33. I feel that for me my twenties were a far better time to have them than my 30's. The younger you are when you have them the younger you'll be and have more energy to enjoy the eventual grandkids ........and age doesn't matter as…

Watching myself in the mirror is not a nice sight ! Stiff and robotic .....but still the clothes can look good if nothing else!

Oh yes they sure do! Our class has the long and the short, large and skinny. I find not having big boobs annoying as i can't let them wobble, shoulder shimmies look daft on me as nothing seems to move up top. Should go braless i suppose, todays padded ones that i wear keep everything in, least without the armour plating…

Hi all My name is Jo and whilst I have been on this site for 4 years (most of the time) calorie counting I now have to watch the carbs. Was classed as pre diabetic for many years although my most recent doc has only just picked up on it and things are happening at last. I am aiming to keep my sugars under those classed as…

Thank you all for your input, there is certainly a wealth of information out there. I do realise that my fruit and porridge will have to go, (sob!) or at least cut back to a couple of times a week. I think I will have to radically change my eating routine now, thinking about the foods themselves and not the calories, will…

Simples. I am a chilliholic.

You'll do great on this site, loads of support. You seem to have done alright so far! Nice to see someone else from Wales on here

I see I'm not alone with wine then.. plus .....nuts, any kind,...............I adore avocados too and eat them like my parents used to, filling the hole with lea and perrins worcester sauce and a sprinkling of salt and pepper ....bombay mix type snacks ..............chilli chocolate hmmmmm ! When they are "Occasional "…

Staggering! Well done you!

I am 5' 1", add me if you wish, I don't have much to lose, just trying to keep it off really. This is an amazing site and you will find everyone supportive and helpful!

Thanks for your help. I went on a trawl on the web for metabolism boosting foods and it appears I am already eating some that were suggested! ! Brocoli, oats, hot peppers, soup, apples. I will try to drink more water though, that is a failing of mine I am afraid, I live on decaff coffee! Eating frequently is fine for me…

Thanks for that, sounds a good idea. I have always been more of a "grazer" anyway! :flowerforyou:

An awful lot left to use ... personally I would go for sandwhiches and the wine, or a couple at least!

"You know what I mean " repeated after every sentance m akes me want to clobber the speaker or at least stick a band aid over their mouth "Ongoing" and " moving forward "at work grates on my nerves Quite a lot of aforementioned phrases irritate me too! We shall all have to watch what we actually write from now on!!!
-
I agree .. you have to be very careful.
