Over 50 and not having fun! I'm fighting the same 5 lb. Well at least this week I'm back down. I really thought I was going to rock and loose 100lb in a years time. Well, guess what, this old body doesn't want to do that. Not to mention the medications I have to take. So going to the gym 5 days last week I lost 2lb. I'm…

At the bottom of victory is "da feet" so don't look down!

I've been working out like a crazy lady. My PB is looking great but all my other numbers are hung, I loose 2 gain 2 loose 2 gain 2. I go back to see my nutrritionist on the 28. I must be doing something wrong. ( or it could be all the meds I'm taking.)

I'm bombing royally on this challenge. Sorry Golden Girls. Week 4 = 266

The calorie goal your given is what your body needs to meet your goal if you do nothing. That's why when you exercise it adds those calories burned to the amount you can eat. So yes you can have a little more but you want to stay below your daily allowence with the burned calories added. When i saw my nutritionist she said…

Thought for the day: It is the nature of the world to provide challenges. It is human nature to support one another as we strive to overcome them. Through Challenges we grow braver, become stronger, emerge more confident than ever. Deep inside us we have a spirit of energy and determination, a spirit that refuses to be…

Liz : Thanks for the possitive thoughts. I am so proud of you for keeping active at all while doing your treatment. It is really hard. To everyone: It really doesn't matter how long it's been since your diagnoses. This thing has a way of effecting you. But when you understand your going to have good days and bad days, your…

OK so just wondering if any of my fellow BC Sisters are finding that the post treatment meds are recking havic on the weight loss. I have been so depressed this week because my weight went back up. I wasn't able to get to the gym and I wasn't motivated to exercise alone. This past week was a bad week emotionally. For two…

I seem to be fighting the same 5 lb. I go down then up then down then up. I know it's the exercise that is the problem. The weeks when I'm able to get 30 at least 5 days, i go down. Then when I have a bad exercise week I go back up. I'm really dertermine to get down at least close to 260 by my next Dr visit. I would be…

I feel the same way. We have to accept the ups and downs and just be greatful for each new day. It's been a real battle to get here so battling the weight is not that big a deal. It's the mental side that's hardest for me. I think I sent myself into a bad mood for two days because I gained 2 lb. Just need to regain my…

Ok June ended a little rough but I'm ready for July. The end of this month will be my 34th anniversary married to my best friend. I really want to loose 10 before then. It's been a really battle so far I loose then i gain (because I don't get the exercise i need) This time is for really. bring it on!

sitting here, thinking of the day. I've been fighting a bad mood. It's been more than 2.5 years since my cancer diagnoses, and still I sometimes have those days. I read a wonderful book once titled "Dancing in Limbo". I understand it is nolonger in print which is a shame. It addresses the after math of cancer. In reading…

Femera can be really hard on you. I'm on it too. It's remembering to eat regularly (ever 3-4 hours) drink plenty of water, and make fresh fruits and veggies the biggest part of your diet. The post cancer fight is difficult but not imposible. I have found it interesting how many things have soy products in them. If your…

I agree with the carrots thing. Crunchy foods are great for stress. If you have the good stuff available it keeps you from reaching for the bad stuff. Also, yoga.....Especially practice the breathing part. Deep breathing helps feed the brain. Oh ya that reminds me my mother-in-law always said grapes were great when your…

Here I am again. Is this a chat board or my blog. I forget. lol Just a few thoughts to those of you who are currently in treatment. Remember, slow and steady wins the race. Your going to have good days and bad days. Even though it has been over a year since I finished my treatment I still have good days and bad day. The…

I don't eat before going to bed, but I have to eat breakfast as soon as I get up. That's really funny because I never use to eat breakfast. I thought it was because of all the meds I take. But I do eat a good breakfast. I make sure it includes a protien. and I make sure I eat before doing anything else. I have tired to…

It's realy hard to stay motivated when you live alone. But there are still things you can do. But first you have to be a little crazy! I don't live alone but I live with temptation (weekends with my family) Now for the crazy part. I post notes to myself everywhere! Don't laugh, it works. In the fridge......Do you really…

When I saw this, my thought was "you can make better choices that tast just as good" I wasn't thinking in terms of what size the two women were. I suppose if you have an eating disorder, it really wouldn't matter what the commercial says. It's really your view of self and anything can trigger the bad thoughts. Even if the…

WOW! Like everyone said you should be really proud. Great Job! :drinker: You can do this. Keep up the good work.

Dnt know if anyone is still checking in here, but sice I'm a chatty cathy, I'll keep adding information. :) I went to a new session of Survivor Fitness last night. It is an exercise group for cancer survivors that runs in 6 week sets of twice a week. I love it. It is more effective for me than just a support group because…

Hair at last! I went a whole year with no hair thanks to Chemo. Then it finally started to grow and it was white and curly. Still is!
