I put the positive test in a bracelet box and then got a bib that said "I love Daddy" (green and yellow, so neutral) and stuck it in a plain gift bag with one piece of pink and one piece of blue tissue paper. Maybe not original or terribly creative, but it was special anyway.

I think this is an un-winnable contest. Haven't seen a non-adorable one yet!

I love this picture - and her smile!

Yep, Matt - that's Hurley! :)

Lol, he's only truly happy when he's watching the neighborhood from our front steps, or if he's in the vicinity of food. He didn't care, though - he's as easy-going as they come. The headband just pushed all his extra skin into his face and made him look grumpy. LOL. <-- being the neighborhood patrol (must say, joggers…

This is my boy at 6 months, auditioning for the Cadbury bunny, perhaps? And this is him playing "hide the 4-year-old"

I'd have just told her that it's the same principle as double dipping veggies or chips into dip - saliva gets on the spoon, and goes back into the jar and makes it unsanitary. My daughter is 4, but she understands germs, and why if she wants to double dip something, she has her own bowl of it. That's just me though, to…

I love tattoos, but for me, it depends on the person. I love tattoos, but I know I could never pull off a sleeve or chest piece. But, when I see certain women with them, I love it on them. The only thing I really don't care for is that upper arm tattoos in MOST women (most, not all). My husband has 4 tattoos and an…

I've been using Suz's couch 2 5K podcasts, but if you're not doing the program, she does list her tracks on her page and it might give you some ideas. I love them - it's not typically my kind of music, but they're perfect to working out to. Black Eyed Peas and Rihanna are both good for cardio, imo.…

I always thought it was mean... even after I became a parent to my oldest, I thought it was mean. Then I had my second - an autistic child who doesn't always respond to his name or to "stop," who won't hold hands/can slip out of grasp in a split second, and who runs without caution into dangerous situations without any…

Are you sure we don't have the same grandma? I'm one of the only of the 7 of us grandkids who can stomach being around our grandma. We love her, but she makes comments like your grandma that are hurtful (and often intentionally). I've guilt tripped her, and let her know that her words really hurt my feelings, because I…

Chocolate cheerios, sans milk. They taste very similar (to me) to those Oreo 100 calorie packs, and there are about 100 calories in a serving size (3/4 of a cup, I think it is).

Cafe Americano with a shot of sugar-free syrup in the cold weather (I believe there are less than 20 calories in a grande), and an iced tazo passion tea, no sweetner in the summer months (0 cal). Edited to say that I don't like to drink my calories, but once in a while, I treat myself to a non-fat pumpkin spiced latte in…

Perhaps I should have added that I discovered my low blood sugar when I had the same thing happen to me. I would definitely suggest getting checked out at the doctor, at any rate. Blood sugar can dip even if you don't have a chronic problem with it, just from not eating enough.

I have low blood sugar and have found that eating simple sugars (fruit, not candy), followed by complex carbohydrates (whole grains) really helps to level me out so that it doesn't drop like that.

I did day 1 on Monday, and had to skip yesterday because my muscles were screaming so loudly. I'm still pretty sore today - mostly my arms, chest and abs (I'm a giant slug though, so I don't often get in physical activity beyond walking the dog). I'm going to do day 2 today anyway, even though I'm sore. It's not as bad as…

I'm starting today, as well. How do you log it into your exercise for the day?

I like to mash mine and use it instead of mayo in tuna salad. One of my favorite quick and easy lunches is a can of tuna mixed with a mashed avocado, some salt, pepper and tomato slices - either just in a bowl, or as a wrap/sandwich. It makes a fair amount, so I can get 2 meals out of it if I make sandwiches.

I love, love, love Trader Joe's Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato soup - looking forward to trying this one - I have everything in my pantry already! Thank you!

And by "them," zucchini, yellow squash, red and green peppers and onions.

Recently, I've been using 1/2 t dill, 1/4 t onion powder, 1/4 t garlic powder and 1/8 teaspoon salt with a little pepper with a little olive oil or "butter" spray and tossing them. It tastes like ranch dressing. I made them with those seasonings and no olive oil in a foil packet on the grill the other day - very good.
