If you're on here, taking care of yourself/ trying to improve then you'll always be a 10 in my book :)

Thanks all! I've been crazy busy so havnt been in here, but hope you all meet your goals as well!
-
Thank you all. I actually do have another marathon in December. It is infinitely easier to run without the extra weight on

Thx y'all

Sure you could. The question is, is it sustainable and healthy? I am vegetarian as well and I would say no.

Rock on! Good for you that you found something that works for you! I wish it took me a month to reach "normal bmi" it took 10 mos, but I let myself go far too long without doing anything about it. Good on you for taking control!

5'2 from 200 or so to 128...

Actually, at 5'3 she IS already at a healthy weight. The range for MY height (5'2) is 105-136 and of course, depending on her body comp, she could already look fab at that weight, just needing to tone up, not necessarily lose. In my profile pic now, I am at 128, size 2, 5'2. I am 22%bf, no need to lose more weight. I think…

Yup. I have friends who were meth addicts and they will substitute that in as a "fix" if they can get it. I would never do that stuff.

63lbs down and I have mirena. I'm now 3 lbs from goal/healthy weight. You need to check with your Dr if you are convinced that this is why you aren't losing. Before you do THAT however, take a hard look at your DIET and make sure you're not overeating (or undereating) and be sure to get enough protein to help you feel full.

9 months, just about. I'm now 6 lbs from goal. The end is in sight. I am starting to think about my maintenance plan. Weight loss the 2nd time around has made me wiser.

Mine disappeared when I lost weight. Lose the weight gradually and yours will too.

If you would like to lose weight --just weight--and don't care where it comes from, that plan is fine. If you don't mind losing a higher percentage of muscle, thus making your overall body composition worse and your metabolism slower. Also if health is not an issue--in other words you don't mind the possibility of losing…

There are a lot of things that may be more difficult--working two jobs for example is hard (I teach AND tutor) for others being in school and balancing other responsibilities is hard. We get that. But we don't make excuses. We use it as a challenge to meet our goals. I'm assuming these are your children and you control the…

Self control. Spacing my meals so that I'm not waiting too long and getting hungry. Exercise..

Amen.

Everyday is 24 hours. I can't justify upping caloroes unless I have worked out extra to do so, or have reduced cals earlier in the week. It sounds to me like you are bored and/or frustrated on work days so you feel the need to eat more (though there is no reason to). What might help is spreading your meals out more so that…

I think you're waaaaay over thinking or analyzing this. If I say a salad or something looks good someone's preparing that's what I mean without the extra $#%#4 you added in. Don't worry what others *might* be thinking about you or speculate. Focus on yourself and the rest will fall into place.

So far I've lost 53 pounds and still have mirena, which I've had a year, so....no.

Thanks all!

Rock on!

Rock on! Its a very freeing feeling isn't it? I'm so happy for you! And you look great in those pics too :)You are at my goal weight ( I have about 8 pounds to go) I'm wearing a size 4 though, consistently, and my 9s and 10s are too big, so its really interesting how clothing sizes differ depending how your weight is…

I applaud your motivation, and your enthusiasm. I've been at this (weight loss) for 6 months. I am now about ten pounds from goal, give or take, and I have my 8th full marathon next year (I started putting on weight after the last one). You can "kick start" "JumpStart" whatever you want to call it--your lifestyle change at…

Mine are much smaller which is fine with me after 50lbs. How much smaller YOU will get depends on genetics and in part how much exercise you get to burn off fat

Unless you have a mental disability which renders you in the custody of your parents or you have been deemed incompetent to care for yourself, if you are an adult your medical records are your own business

Here is a true story for you: currently I am about ten pounds from normal bmi and goal weight. I was once at my target weight, but after my 7th marathon, began to pile on pounds. I've been an athlete a while but I (incorrectly) assumed I could eat whatever for the most part since I work out so much. Anyway, I didn't change…

I suppose the idea is that as you learn healthier eating habits through logging, you feel more empowered to do this YOURSELF. :)
-
In the beginning you appear to lose more due to water weight. This will slow to 1-2 lbs a week of real weight.
-
Awesome. Good for you. What is the us size equivalent? I'll have to look that up.
