  • I don't have any belly pictures, but you can still see the progress in the headshots.
  • Feel free to add me.
  • Good luck, Greg! You can do it!
  • I LOVE Reese's PNB cups! My husband went to the store after work last night and bought 3 packages. AHHHH!!! I was just telling myself earlier today, that I MUST limit myself to just one a day. This will be a true test of my self control! lol
  • Awesome! Great job!
  • I am a cosmetologist, here's my two cents  : First of all, you want to put some sort of product on the hair to protect it from the heat. You can find products that will protect and also provide hold....an example is Redken Hot Sets. I am sure you can find something comparable at a beauty supply store such as Sally's.…
  • They are adorable. Looks like they were having a blast. I have 3 four legged children myself - 2 cats and a dog. LOVE them! Thanks for sharing.
  • Hubby and I had our first date the end of September, I was 18. He proposed to me the first week in December that same year, so we had been together a tiny bit over 2 months when we got engaged. I turned 19 in February and we got married in June. We are still happily married and will celebrate our 10 year anniversary this…
  • I know you said you had a physical, but have you been checked for insulin resistance? I went through the same thing. I was watching calories/carbs faithfully, exercising faithfully and still gaining 2-3 pounds a week. It was very discouraging. I have PCOS which makes it harder for me to lose weight anyway, but I kept…
  • It is unfortunate that people fall for that kind of stuff. Unfortunately, some doctors are willing to prescribe or recommend "diet pills" also. I switched doctors last year not b/c she recommended or tried to prescribe diet pills but b/c she told me that "you might think about the surgical route, it might be the only way…
  • Congratulations! You look great!
  • I like to make a salad with spring mix lettuce, tomato, carrots, and cucumber and then cube a chicken breast and put that on top for protein. Then you can use whatever salad dressing you choose. Very good and filling. I also like to brown hamburger (90/10) with onion, garlic powder and Mrs. Dash Table Blend seasoning,…
  • I weigh myself weekly, on the same day, around the same time. I recently read something that said not only should you weigh yourself, but you should also measure. Muscle weighs more than fat so if you are working out, you might have replaced some of that fat with muscle resulting in a higher number on the scale. BUT you…

  • I can relate to the Alzheimer's situation. We just lost my grandmother on my mother's side to Alzheimer's on the 5th of December. Thankfully she went peacefully in her sleep. My grandfather on my father's side also has it. He is in the earlier stages but he is declining quickly. It is tough to watch them go through the…
  • I haven't used it for the purpose of losing weight, but just as an easy breakfast option. I tend not to eat breakfast and this is one thing I have found that I can do so I get something to jump start my metabolism in the morning rather than waiting hours until lunch to eat.
  • I have begun to believe that I too, am a food addict. I find myself eating when I am stressed, tired, excited, bored, you name it. It is very frustrating. I have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember and of course, it has gotten worse since I have gotten older. I started MFP a while ago but have not been…
  • For sure! I am saving this story too!
  • AMAZING! Congratulations! Thank you for sharing. It's stories like these that give me hope. :)
  • Wow! That's so sad! My vows said in sickness and in health. He should be supporting you. Only you know what's right in your marriage, but this doesn't seem like something that is going to help you reach your goals and maintain them. Unhealthy relationships lead to unhealthy behavior. I can't see how that comment could be…
  • Just like you, I have been doing this off and on for a couple of years and recently got the pre-diabetic diagnosis as well. Just a week before my diagnosis, my husband was diagnosed as diabetic (his A1C was 9.6 and they like it to be NO higher than 6.0). I was furious! Then I was all depressed and now, I am slowly getting…
  • You sound like one cool granny! Welcome! I too am a Christian. Feel free to add me as well. :)
  • I like black tea, iced, UNsweet, and I like lemon in it but I usually only get that if I am at a restaurant.
  • I have a pic I could share.....if I knew how to get it on here. LOL :blushing:
  • Thank you!

  • Yes, the pain only happens when I am walking and its more so the side of my leg that gets tight rather than the back. It's not a charlie horse, I know that for sure. However, the pain is just as bad or worse.

  • I was diagnosed at age 18 and yes, it does make losing weight much more difficult. I GAINED 15lbs watching calories and carbs. My doctor says it MUST be no more than 1200 calories a day, but I am finding that extremely difficult as well. However, everyone is different so what works for one of us might not work for someone…
  • I too, have been thinking the same thing. I am so worried about staying under my calorie goal. However, I have been thinking maybe I should just be eating healthier foods, even if it ends up being more calories. Surely eating healthy foods, even if you have to eat more to be satisfied, is better than eating even a single…
  • I feel the exact same way. I can't even afford to go to the gym. Like you, I have workout DVD's and use MFP but I want more. I need the structure but can't afford it. Good luck to you!
  • Welcome!
