  • A bit of eyeliner and mascara for the gym, i hate the way i look in every aspect, i havent walked out the house without make up on in 8 years, i even went through labour with a little bit on!
  • Ultimately me, no one force fed me ! 1. Bad homedinner habbits through teens 2. Unhappy at home in teens 3. Thyroid disorder from age 4 diagnosed at 10 4. Got a nice figure summer 2008, first time feeling confident ever, got pregnant winter 2008, EXTREMELY bad pregnancy, an abnormal amount of water, longer than average…
  • Agree with above. Also, sometimes your scales might not 'get it right first time' e.g. my house is mainly carpet (sadly even the bathroom right now), my scales get upset with the carpet. I have to use the scales in the kitchen to get it right. It can be something silly like that.
  • What you have done is really amazing and you should feel really proud! If it helps, I dont notice any difference in my self (I was 2 1/2 stone heavier this time last year) and even from about the first 1/2 stone loss i started taking photos, now when i feel low, i look about at the photos (one every 3 months in my case)…
  • Glad your helping yourself and have gone to a dr. Last year I was 3 stone heavier than what i am now, and that was heavier than when i was full term pregnant! I did a VLCD diet that was advised from a 'non-virtual friend' which got me to lose the weight, i only put on about 4lbs afterwards from going back to a normal, but…
  • yes! i am at the weight now that i was last time i took a 'break' from dieting. I only feel larger and like a hippo. It is making me so miserable too! I don't care about the scales that much it is about how i look/feel
  • Ipswich. Happy for anyone to add (though no creepies please!)
  • I would give him space in the most polite way possible. Then do whatever it is that you two enjoy the most, and mention really casually how much he is affecting you and also how you are worried about him. Failing that... how old are you? Can you speak to his parents in confidence? other than that i dont think there is…
  • I am (fairly) new too. Only been doing it a few months We just get told to do what we can, I am no longer the weakest, but one guy was lifting NEARLY 3x my body weight on Monday session! (stood open mouthed for a second as i am not the lightest girl in the world!) Just do what makes you feel comfortable but challenged, the…
  • If your ever in Ipswich (UK) Grange Fitness and Performance Centre 28B Gloster Road, Ipswich, IP5 3RD
  • You can't help how your bone structure is - i feel the same way about myself, i have broader shoulders and MASSIVE hips, when i met my ex-boyfriends Nan, she tugged on hs sleeve and whispered (loudly so the whole room could hear) 'Good choice, she has very nice child bearing hips!' You dont have a profile pic, so no one…
  • Something else you can do is mix protein powder into your cooking. [/quote] Thanks - Do you know any good recipes?
  • Thanks everyone, will give those a go! Nope i would eat, wait 30-60 mins, do workout, drink shake after, i meant 'sick' as in the taste was really quite bad and made me almost gag... I tried it slowly the first time, but after that i tried to 'chug' it.
  • I'm Sophie, not new, just back for round 2. Looking for friends, ideally those who do crossfit or similar :)
  • I genuinely had someone give up their seat for me on the tube once, i never wore that dress again! I suppose i should consider myself lucky, considering people who really are pregnant are often left standing!
  • Hm sounds like my 'mother' every time i have the 'joy' of having to see her. Oh, and this started aged about 4! People like that are awful nd take ppleasure in other people's misfortunes. Well done on the loss, keep it up :)
  • Can I be in the middle please? I dont want to be the incredible 'Hulk-ette' but i certainly want to be lean, and have defined abs!
  • For me its totally different depending on what kind of lift. (i am fairly new at this still) The best i can do is 2 under my bodyweight, but if i do a snatch for example, its only 15kg!
  • heavy breathing from one guy on the desk to one side of me, coffee (or is it tea?) slurping to the other
  • I desperately wish i had one, but it seems as if there is no one in Ipswich that actually uses MFP seriously.
  • We just bought one on sale from John Lewis, we couldn't find a better offer. I would personally say that the one we got is fantastic, great quality, easier for things like netflicks, iplayer etc. unfortunately unless you have an LG it wont play NowTV. Wouldn't recommend a 4k though as nothing is really ready for it yet and…
  • wow you look amazing! You look unrecognisable!
  • Same boat, feel free to add. I'm not sure how much i want to lose, but am gaining muscle so i dont expect to lose much
  • i am so sorry for your loss :( I can't blame you for losing motivation, if your not eating very well and only being able to eat the odd naughty thing, i dont think it really matters too much so long as you get something in you. Take a break, come back when your ready, no one will blame you, and you shouldn't blame yourself…
  • worked well for first month, then back issues (which i hadnt had for a few years) reared its ugly head. Back was awful! took a 4 month break from all major exercise (and started a new acount on MFP!) Hurt more than my current work outs which include weights, and yes, i was doing the exercises correctly, i asked the trainer…
  • Your very lucky! My friends just attempt to buy me ice cream, tell me im ridiculous etc! Sometimes family are good and supportive, sometimes they are not. One in particular is horrific!
