My daughter has PCOS, tumor on the pituitary gland and hypothyroidism. PALEO seems to be what has turned things around for us both. I am an ice cream addict. I buy 1 pint (4 servings) of full fat, full flavor cookies and cream once a week and share it with my hubby on Saturday night. It's a treat and I look forward too it all week and savor every bite.

According to my dietician, natural sugars from fruit isn't the same as from say a donut. look up Glycemic index. All sugars are not the same as all calories are not the same. You're on the right track but vegan diets are not for losing weight, if that is your reasoning. Be sure you are getting your protein in on a daily. ALSO educate yourself on food. ALL Calories are not the same. Make them count.

As I said, I don't push these diets, I believe in eating clean and healthy and have lost over 65lbs doing so, and only by starting an elimination diet then reintroduction. HOWEVER if there is an addictive hold than I suggest to get away from it all until you can control it. Clearly you don't have that type of addiction.

I agree with everyone above. I am intolerant and since finding this out and eliminating almost all gluten my weight loss didn't speed up. I don't eat much gluten free processed junk either.
