I took a resistance bands class that was so much harder than I thought it would be! I'd probably try that again.

Yes that sounds similar. I'm talking about comprehensive programs. In mine there is the surgical side which is bypass or sleeve, or the medical side, which is nonsurgical.

Unfortunately I think 20 months is probably to little to include in most workouts without getting very creative. Luckily as moms we are used to that or we would never get anything done! I use resistance bands at home which are super inexpensive and featured in tons of videos. We also go for walks and hikes, dance, etc.

There are mini pedal sets you could put under your desk. Lots for sale on amazon. Or how about sitting on a yoga ball.

How terrifying! So glad your little one is going to be okay. You can do it - you'll be feeling better soon!

There are Water Fitness classes by lots of names - Deep Water Aerobics, Warm Water Conditioning, Water Fit, I love them all! My favorites are the ones that combine shallow end and deep end workouts.

Pinterest has some great ideas on how to repurpose old clothes into new. I plan on doing that with some of mine.

Congratulations on getting approved! I hope it goes smoothly for you. I am really looking forward to the day I no longer stand out because of my weight. I want to stand out for all the right reasons!

Wow I wish someone would make me that kind of offer! I'd make sure I lost enough to get a ticket to Puerto Rico! Your story is amazing and I am super envious of your supportive family. I have been overweight my whole life and am just finally started to grasp this whole healthy living thing. MFP has been an amazing tool for…

I have the same problem. I love Mountain Dew sooooo much!! I have been trying to do smaller no-soda streaks. If I make it three days I'm really happy with myself. I have also tried switching to cans instead of bottles and even better 8 oz Mountain Dew slurpees. Today I was struggling something awful so I did indulge in a…

You should definitely do whatever is easy for you to understand and keep up with. I have done WW in the past and was successful, but at this point in my life I have no desire to learn new systems. I want to go with something I already know and understand and I feel like MFP fills that need for me by keeping is simple with…

My therapist told me if I didn't do something now (just turned 40) in as little as five years I would probably not be able to hike with local Girl Scouts anymore.

Well I haven't been going for long, but in my fifth water fitness class I fell off my noodle in the deep end and was pretty embarassed. I can swim, but the flailing around made it appear I couldn't.

My home scale stinks. It does the same thing and it's impossible to interpret. I've been weighing myself at the doctor or gym instead.

Wow that's amazing! Thank you for sharing your story - you are an inspiration!!

My friend works at a soup kitchen/food pantry and she has taught me (and my Girl Scout troop) that $2 a day is the absolute minimum to effectively feed one person. If you cannot manage that right now, you really need to look into food assistance. There are several programs available and things like soup kitchens and food…
