  • Thanks for the ideas :) gonna have to try some of them.
  • I was a binge eater, started about 5 1/2 years ago. I don't binge anymore but I do still eat emotionally, I eat large embarassing amounts of food and eat past the point of being full and often until I feel sick. I had lost 75lbs 5 1/2 years ago and it started after that. I had gone from 238lbs to 162, and then when I got…
  • We eat mostly whole foods now, but I do buy subs every now and then.
  • I LOVE their chik'n sliders and so does my 6 year old. Both my kids also love the nuggets without the sauce. We also love the meatballs. I love the fishless filets, my toddler likes them but my 6 yearold won't touch it because she was always picky about fish so she won't try it lol. I find the beefless tips are too mushy…
  • I know there is a guy on YouTube who lost a lot of weight doing this. Because I was curious I put potatoes only into my diary to see and if you ate approx 2,800 calories worth of potatoes, you would be getting plenty of protein, iron and fiber but you would only be getting half your calcium so I would take a supplement or…
  • It's wierd I was just researching about calcium today too. I wondered if my 1 year old was getting enough and she definitely is. She drinks 1 1/ to 2 cups of soy milk a day, plus 1 tsp chia seeds and spinach in her morning smoothie. Obviously she only needs half the amount adults do but I find it funny that people worry so…
  • I wouldn't eat vegan cheese every day just for the calcium, there are far healthier options but for every now and then it's ok.
  • Oh spinach, kale and broccoli.
  • Chia seeds are an excellent source of calcium! Also fortified OJ and tofu. I drink Silk soy milk.
  • Same thing I eat almost every morning. 1 cup oats, 1 cup blueberries, 1 tbsp each ground flax and chia seeds and 1 cup of soy milk. Eaten like cereal:) Yum.
  • I'm vegan Vegalete :)
  • When someone makes a habit of bingeing, every time they do it they make that habit stronger. You can stop restricting and still binge because it's an ingrained habit. Check out the book Brain Over Binge by Katheryn Hansen.
  • So you don't have an interest in eliminating your participation in the abuse of animals, just a very limited participation? I know it soundslike I am attacking you, I really am not I just don't personally understand why people go vegetarian for ethical reasons when the dairy and egg industry is just as bad or worse than…
  • Forks over Knives, Vegucated, Cowspiracy, PlantPure Nation (new one that just came out on Netflix) Food Inc.And Earthlings if you need inspiration to never go back to eating animals again
  • Check out the Vegan Zombie on YouTube. It's a vegan cooking show set in a zombie apocolypse :)
  • This is not to be rude, I am just curious. You say you have been vegetarian for 5 years, because of the treatment of animals. You seldom eat cheese, milk or eggs but you do sometimes. If you are against the terrible treatment that the animals endure, why do you consume these products at all?
  • Why would you think you won't get what you need if you don't eat bacon, sausage and burgers?
  • I'm confused. Are you not eating meat on purpose to go vegetarian or just stopped eating it because you don't like it?
  • lol so because it wouldn't be the same for YOU....it can't possibly be for anyone else. Makes sense lol
  • They have a few more vegetarian items (they are in the meat section with the other boxed meats) but the other ones don't have B12 and not as much iron.
  • I consider myself high carb and mostly low fat. Also vegan.
  • I don't know if you have a Superstore, but that's where I got it, it's called Blue Menu vegetarian chicken breast in a pale blue box.
  • About 90-100 calories for a banana, there is about 20-25 calories in the 1/4 almond milk (depending on if it is sweetened or not, if not its less) I don't know how many calories in the 1/2 tbsp sugar or cacao nibs but probably not much. So I think this dessert comes to about 150 calories.
  • Why not? For example, I am vegan. I love meatless versions of some dishes that I used to eat. I made it for my family and they didn't like it as much as I did. Different people have different tastes.
  • There is a grocery store here that sells vegan "chicken" breasts, and they actually have 100% b12 and 80% Iron and a whole lot of other good stuff. We are eating it now for supper with rice, corn and salsa.
  • Some people assume vegan means you have to give up processed foods. Like Naley said above, just stop eating animal products. That's it. One of the things that irritates me when I post something on a vegan facebook group I am on is that I was ask someone if a certain product is vegan and the first thing someone says is it's…
  • I have started making smoothies in the morning with Vega powder. It's vegan and has a bunch of good things in it. Plus, if you use almond milk(like I do) each cup has 50% of your B12 and 45% Vit D needs.
  • Everyone has different tastes. If the op thinks it is as good as B&J, thengreat. Doesn't mean it will be for everyone else.
  • I make this with just frozen banana and I love to add a bit of PB or even better, frozen cherries. So good.
