When I started my size 12s were TIGHT (i.e. should have been in 14s). I would have been so happy to be in a size 10. A size 8 would be a dream. After 4 months of MFP, readjustment of diet and lifestyle, I was into a size 6! I COULD NOT believe it. I've been maintaining since then, though I got a little lazy at the holidays…

I am 20 lbs lighter than my DL weight, and I was 10 lbs heavier when I listed that weight on the license. :)

I forgot stats: I'm 5'10" tall. I started out at 183 lbs and am down to 150 lbs (give or take a couple of pounds while figuring out maintenance). My starting resting heart rate was between 80 and 85 bpm and is now down to around 60 bpm. When I started running in Sept of 09, I was thrilled to be able to run the first day of…

Great job! I started running a year ago with the C25K, actually did a 5K in April, am currently halfway through bridge to 10K, and hoping to run the 10K in town next spring in 60 min or less! I can't believe how much progress one can make in a year. Keep up the great work!

I'm 5'10" and have regular success with Maurice's and Gap/Gap Outlet. Old Navy is hit or miss with length. The upshot is that Gap/Old Navy.com (same parent company, so the sites are all linked) have tall (36" inseam), in addition to long (34" inseam). I can definitely see a difference. I'm 5' 10" and I didn't feel like I could tell much change at that point, either, but other people could. Another 7 - 8 lbs and I bet you'll start noticing, yourself! Hang in there and keep up the great work!

I noticed I finally started losing weight from running when I started increasing distance, rather than speed.
