  • Sorry about all the 'huge's!
  • 24 hour, huge range of cardio machines, 'cinema' studio for huge range of dvd style workouts, and a huge free weights section with trainers checking in often and correcting peep's form for free. Also lovely and clean. Oh, and LOVE the righteous feeling of walking out, eating the free fruit the gym provides (awesome!) and…
  • Lol! Must admit, I hadthe same thought. I never wear any when wearing my gym/running gear.
  • I've just discovered M&S capris... I find they are really comfy and even being quite thick are cool enough for our summers.
  • Oh, and look out for the threads and groups on here.
  • I did it a while ago and loved it. It is insane, but worth sticking with. Don't do any other exercise with it, at least to begin with, unless you were extremely active before you started. You are meant to give every session your all. Hth ☺
  • Do go and get measured. It's really daft to run in something that isn't supportive enough (after all, you wouldn't drive a car with dodgy suspension would you?). However, there is nothing to stop you getting measured, making a note of make and size, then buying online. Yes, I know it's rude, but you won't be the last to do…
  • This! I'm a Newbee too. I started with the bar and 10kg for all of W/O A which felt pretty easy tbh, but Man! my legs hurt after the squats! I also felt a bit puny, til I realised that the bar was 20kg by itself (sorry, don't know what that is in lb...) W/O B was cool - til on my last rep of the deadline an instructor came…
  • Hi Tracy. Unfortunately there is no magic spot removal tool for fat. All you can do is improve the muscle tone under the fat by doing stomach exercises and then do fat burning exercises like swimming, running or gym work (or heavy lifting but thats a whole different thread!), and hope it comes off in all the right places!…

  • And gym today. I rocked the gym! :-D
  • Did my run today. Only 15 mins worth but it's a good start! :-)
  • Good luck 152jurgen! It will get harder before it gets easier - then you have month 2 to contend with! But it will get you into great shape and will make you feel amazing (even if that feeling is "Thank goodness today is the rest day"!!!!
  • Wait until you are completely healed, then perhaps do 3 days of level 1, rest a day then level 2 as usual... there's no Shred Police after all! So do what seems sensible and natural...
  • YouTube has Jillian Michael's 30 day shred - 30 mins a day with cardio intervals and body weight exercises. Or if you are feeling like a challenge then Insanity is great - the first month is about 45 mins long, the second is more like 55-75 mins long with a week 'off' with recovery exercises halfway through (40 mins long).…
  • I'm veggie too - feel free to add.
  • Nice! See you on the other side then ;-)
  • Yea! Well done Benjinkan! I've got 10 days left then I'm also done... Am going to do a Jillian Michaels dvd for 30 days as a kind of recovery session, then restart Insanity...
  • Hi Stephanie, Welcome to the Insane world! There are a couple of long running threads out there, and there are always people starting the program who are looking for friends. I found daily logging on to the message boards a great way of keeping motivated. I'm only half way through the 2nd month, and am getting a little…
  • I also use a heart rate monitor. It comes out at about 100 calories more than the MFP ones - however I also use a calculator rather than the one on the monitor. See http://www.shapesense.com/fitness-exercise/calculators/heart-rate-based-calorie-burn-calculator.aspx
  • Her stretches at the end leave a LOT to be desired... get on to the web to find a stretch routine that takes about 15 - 20 mins. Yes - almost longer than the workout! But so worth it. And if you do try and stretch before her work out, then PLEASE warm up first by doing 10 mins or so of jumping jacks, on-the-spot jogging…
  • Ok, that's just mental! And I love the fact that you are back into Insanity Victorian! Bizarrely, I'm beginning to like the absolute exhaustion you get at the end of the Max intervals. That final, pre stretch, moment when you are just a puddle on the floor is so peaceful Lol! Maybe because you know Shaun isn't going to…
  • What a cutie! Glad to hear all is well. Max Interval Pylo done - but can't do the side or plank push ups yet :\ I'm hoping that'll improve...
  • Hope all goes well at the hospital, and congratulations in advance! The cold kept me off another day- just walking the dog was enough to make me wheeze (I'm slightly asthmatic) so decided discretion was the better part of valour. However I did Day 1 month 2 today. Oh-My-Good-Lord! I finished it with only short breaks, so I…
  • Hey y'all! Did you miss me? ;) Sorry I've not been around the last couple of days. I have been pressing play though - well, mostly. I didn't the day before yesterday as I have a chesty cough, but I'm on Recovery week, so I figured one day off it really wasn't the end of the world... Well done Keke, Swan and Jmy! And a huge…
  • Bump for info!
  • Your grandson is just too cute! Love the fact that he was 'helping'! Further to my last - I've lost another lb! And the measurements have gone right down (about 3 inches, which is 6 in total since I started Insanity :-D ) so, many thanks for the advice Paul - I agree with you, however in this instance I think I was…
  • Wow J_L - There'll be nothing left of you! I too am interested to hear whether the increased calories are working... I need to take more notice of my measurements. I'm getting disheartened that the scale (and BF monitor integrated into the scales) aren't moving - however at the last count I'd lost 3" and I'm sure I've lost…
  • Hellu! There's a couple of threads over on the Fitness and Exercise board specifically for Insanity-ers. Feel free to join in - we're all at different stages of the journey... :-)
  • I hear you Dym! I was thinking just the same thing today during my workout... ;-) Man, yesterday was hard - I swear someone had switched my legs with someone elses! Today was tough but nowhere near as tough as that. Well done Benjikan! I'd heard that the two together were a nightmare, so well done for doing them both. I…
