  • nmalek....I am with you. The week days are flawless. Weekends are good till about saturday night :( I know my changes would be even better if I could tighten up my meal plan. This has always been my struggle. Have always been able to stay with the excercise part of programs though. My favorite change so far are my arms and…
  • Look at Jamie Easons small meal options. There are things like cottage cheese, protein shakes for choices. I am 5'3" and eating an average of 1800 calories per day following Easons plan. I am losing weight and inches consistantly.
  • PUNKY BREWSTER!!!
  • Wow this thread is crazy!!! Love her look!!! Her diet and lifting plan will be my next challenge. I love lifting! Matt - you have done an amazing job staying patient with all the haters here. THANK YOU for posting this. It is very ispiring! Her/your hard work and dedication are VERY admirable!!!
  • I'm 5'3". It took me a few months to figure out what calories worked well for me. I eat about 1700-1800 on rest days and about 2000 on workout days. I lift heavy 2days/wk on the third day heavy lifting combined with some low weight/high rep lifts. Also do some sort of HIIT cardio after the lifting sessions. Will decrease…
  • Keep going with EM2WL. It can take months before everything evens out and the pounds start to drop. Before the scale, focus on your measurements and BF%. Even this can take a few months to change. Don't cut more that 20% below TDEE, especially if you are doing lots of cardio. And as others have said on this thread, Lift…

  • Thanks
  • Check out these groups here on MFP: 'eat more 2 weigh less' and 'in place of a road map' They both do a great job of helping members with the TDEE issue. This will help you lose body fat while likely maintaining your current lean body mass. Please do not rely on 1200 cals, you will not make it.
  • Thanks for always taking the time to answer my questions. I am still new to this, but I am seeing amazing results from others. Plus I'm not hungry and crabby anymore. Can't beat that.
  • Don't apolgize. Enjoy it! You've obviously worked hard. I love to see women wanting to get strong and you are clearly there! WTG!!!!!!
  • Great timing on the post. I have been doing this for three weeks. Lost 3lbs the first week, but have gained 4lbs over the las t two weeks. Also gained a 1/2" on my waist. Thanks for the enocuragement. I will stick with it no matter what. I can't do the low cal yo-yo dieting anymore. Keep up the good work.
  • bump!
  • 1) I want show my kids how to be healthy in a realistic way. So they are confident about who they are. I don't want them to fall into all of the negative body image issues that are constantly thrown in our faces. 2) I am my own fire. I am in control. I want to be strong. I want to feel confident working out in a sports bra…
  • Not sure what you are eating now or how many calories. You can add things like almonds for good fats and simply increase the serving size of meat at a meal. For example a 6 oz chix breast instead of 4oz. Don't just blindly increase calories. Check these out:…
  • Same here. Just upped my cals from 1330 to about 1800 using Dan's roadmap. Fell great already. My first weigh in using this is Monday. Very excited. However, I am more focused on BF%. That will be calculated again in 2 wks. I can already tell it will be a success.
  • Just looked at this the other day. It is amazing. I completely changed my calorie and macro intake. I feel full and energized. Take a look, you will be pleasantly surprised. The best of luck.
  • Thanks for the info. It's nice to know that others who have a sweet tooth/carb addiction can get through this. It's good motivation! I will try it. I have about 25lbs left to lose. The remainder of the weight I gained with my second child. Plus a few more pounds for good measure. It never used to be this hard to lose…
  • So does that mean also cutting out things like sweet potatoes for those three weeks? Can I put them back in after the three weeks without gaining that weight back? Does that also include cutting out fruit? I carry my weight in the middle. Low carb diets do work for me. I've just always struggled with what to do after I…
  • Meant to say I DO want to gain muscle.
  • I am trying to lose about 25lbs yet not lose muscle or even gain muscle if I can. I am currently doing P90x, insanity and turbofire. My stats: Hight 5'3', CW 148, GW 120. According to MFP: Cal 1330 carb 147 fat 44 protein 50 I usually about double my protein intake. Keep in mind, before I had kids I was in a size 4 at 130…
  • Wow! I have had two c-sections. You are a great motivation.
  • Thanks for all the info. I will try those things.
  • Congrat! That is a great confidence boost. Be proud and keep going!
  • thanks for the info.
  • Over the years I have usually done my workout in the early morning before work. However, now that we have a second child I am finding it difficult to have enough time for a good workout. I have been trying to decide if I should do it after the kids go to bed. After reading this I am going to give it a shot. I look forward…
