    It doesn't matter when she got the boobs. They don't look natural to me with that body, thus rendering the whole look not ideal.

    Matt, I'm curious as a newbie. How long did it take her from when she started? And i'm presuming she was at a good weight already when she started? Also with what weights/reps did she start?

    Dieting and properly under my supervision (her choice, not forced before anyone says) since mid October 2012 altho I did suggest a basic diet at the end of August to her, it was more guidelines than stuck to. You could argue 6 months, I'd say 4.

    Yo started at around 60kg, she is currently 56kg however she has dropped fat and gained muscle so in just 4 months she's really really sharpened up.

    Natashaa1991 - each to their own. I don't understand why you have to come and post this on the thread which is promoting healthy living and lifting, however?

    tabbyavalon - could you not class your hair and piercings as weird? Again, each to their own!

    Ps - I'm pierced and tattoed in more than one place tabbyavalon, so do not take offence :smile:

    She is LEAN and looks AWESOME! And I am sure she feels pretty damn awesome too. You should see the muscles on my boxing trainer! She is 53 and ripped and very proud of her bulging muscles. As she should be.

    The whole issue of body shaming works both ways.

    No, we shouldn't judge how a person wants to improve their body/lifestyle/level of fitness. But the OP opened up mentioning 'zero cardio'. So judging people who do cardio instead of weights. Maybe their opinion of what works for them is different. As long as we're doing SOMETHING to stay fit, who cares if we all look like models? I know I will never look as good as the pictures on the front page, lifting or no lifting, so we should be supporting each other for our commitment to a better lifestyle rather than our attempts to get to a certain body-shape/look.

    Pretty sure Matt wasn't doing any judging - rather stating that women didn't have to do cardio to look like that.

    Correction: THAT woman didn't have to do cardio to look like that.

    Here's a suggestion. Get a post-it note, fold it in half, and stick it on the monitor over her chest. Then decide whether or not her body took a lot of hard work and dedication.

    What's the BFD? So she's had implants. So have lots of women. It's not for me*, but I don't see it as any different than wearing contacts or getting my teeth straightened.


    * Part of why I don't want implants is because I'd end up hating the world even more if people started being nicer or paid more attention to me if I had bigger ta-tas. And on the flip side, this thread shows that some women are really mean if you have bigger ta-tas, too.

    No, you haven't read the thread. I clarified it once, I'll happily do it again.

    Cardio has not been implemented yet. Why? Because most people diet/cardio/lift all at the same time at full pelt. I went onto say that it is implemented when weight loss slows because it allows one to push pash stages of homeostasis without decreasing calories. Naturally a drop in calories will drop weight... and then level off. At this point a low amount of cardio can be brought in and begin the process again.

    This is what was meant, zero cardio was stated because it is fact at the moment.

    Actually, if you read this post or the other one that he linked in you'll see that they do some cardio and are adding hiit this year to evaluate the response. So, even when you put in the hard work and dedication you always need to make room for the possibility of utilizing other tools to work on improvement. This post was not to shame anyone for chosing cardio, but to promote the great things that can happen when you weight train.

    I didn't read it as anti-cardio. I read it as, "You don't HAVE to do cardio," because I think at least 8 out of 10 women (unless they've been reading this forum a lot) think weight loss means treadmills and ellipticals.

    I consider myself a fairly intelligent person, but weight lifting never crossed my mind as a way to get the kind of body shape I wanted. Until I started seeing thread like this. I was never afraid I'd get big and bulky like Chyna, because I knew damn well someone like that works way harder than I ever would, but I didn't know weight lifting was the way to get a nice shaped *kitten*.

    I still love running, though, and no amount of "You don't have to do cardio" is going to make me stop. If I didn't like it, I know I wouldn't have to do it.

    Matt your fiance looks amazing. She (and you) have put a lot of hard work in to have the type of bodies you desire. That deserves admiration and respect.

    And you have inspired a few ladies here to lift or at least keep their gym appointments. That's what MFP is all about.

    To those body shaming her.. have another donut and keep telling yourself you never want to look like her. You needn't worry, I'm quite positive you never will.

    I love them, I used to have them, I lost them after nursing my son, I want them again. I spend a lot of time trying to figure out what sort of rack I want to purchase after my next kiddo.

    You may not need them after your next kiddo. I thought I would need a boob job after my first child and then my 2nd they actually got a little bigger and stayed big then my 3rd came along. Yes I breast fed all 3 kids for the first 6 months. WHen I had my first baby at 25 I was a B cup but went down to an A. After my 2nd I went up to a C cup. After my 3rd I'm now a DD. So glad I didn't get the implants after my first like I had wanted. Now I long for my smaller breasts. These things just get in the way and make it harder to sleep and get a nice blouse to button up. My husband says he married me with a flat chest and could care less if I lost them again while losing weight..which by the way has not happened.

    What was the diet? I assume it's low carb, lower fat, and high protein. For me, that's unsustainable at length, and I would be dreadfully miserable---- not fun. I enjoy my food, and honestly, would prefer to enjoy my diet instead of have a body like that--- although it is quite ripped and pretty awesome.

    I save up cardio as a secret weapon for when I want to push past some wall I come up against. I dont want to wear out it's usefulness, because I feel that when I get readlly good at cardio, I get much better at it, more efficient and then it doesnt help me as much as when i'm first incorporating it.

    So I drop it for months, jump back in when I suck, get awesome again, drop it til I need it again.

    also- on the whole plastic surgery thing - it is her body. No man or woman she isn't married/engaged to has any right to even think of trying to make her second guess something she really wanted for herself and then went and got for herself. What her plastic surgery feels like or looks like, only has to make her happy. Her changes won't affect your weights results.
