  • Thanks! Good luck to you!
  • I am doing the one in South TX on Jan. 29th 2012 and am very nervous! I'm in better shape than I was but not as good as I wanted to be. Good luck on yours!
  • Jessica Seinfeld (wife of Jerry) put out a cookbook called "Deceptively Delicious" about sneaking veggies into other foods (putting spinach into brownies for example). You might look into that book, but I admit I don't know much more about it. I can't stand seafood and don't eat it. I take fish oil pills. Not sure if that…
  • It can depend on what kind of job/field you are applying for, but I also think it makes a difference.
  • Does that mean you don't eat Nestle Chrunch Bars!!!
  • My boobs were the first area to lose. :ohwell:
  • The chest strap doesn't bother me if I hook it on my left side (on my right side the hook part irritates me...don't know why). Sitting? It straps around your chest like a belt, but higher up. It doesn't interfere with sitting. You can swim in some of them too. It goes under my boobs.
  • Polar FT7 is great. If you have insurance see if they have a fitness program that allows you to earn points and get one for free. I got mine for free through Blue Cross Blue Shield (of Texas) by earning points. I think the heart rate monitor is more accurate for calories burned since it reflects your heart rate. My monitor…
  • I love Wii Fit. It has many aspects to it (yoga, weights, cardio) but it also includes tests on your balance, which are pretty unique (in my opinion). The games are interesting and fun (on one game you get to "bike" all over an island to locate flags). It is fairly basic so if you are in good shape it won't be much of a…
  • A Tough Mudder group sounds great! I am doing it Jan. 2012 in Texas and am nervous!
  • Congratulations! Breaking out of the 200's was very exciting for me also! Way to go!
  • Thanks. I enjoyed reading your responses. I use it more as a motivator also and take into account that there are several days a week where I eat too many calories. It does show what eating low calories consistently can do and that it only takes a little bit of "messing up" to effect your weight loss (or should it be Affect…
  • Okay. I'd still like to do an hour for 6 days a week but will try to walk more and slow down on some of the lunges. Thanks!
  • I go to www.bcbstx.com and complete steps to log in or sign up for an online account if you don't already have one. On my home page for my personal account there is a link for the Personal Health Manager. I can't post a link directly to the Personal Health Manager because you can only access that it from your personal BCBS…
  • Sorry to hear that is happening. I think being treated like crud because you are losing weight is a hidden side effect of weight loss and being healthy. The person is taking out their own issues on you and this is about THEM and not you. Can you stay away from the person? Are they overweight? Sometimes you have to push…
  • Sounds like you are wondering if your work counts as exercise and if you are burning off enough calories at work? I've wondered that too when doing yardwork or housework, but when I've checked my heart rate is not high enough for a long enough period of time to realy count as cardio. My suggestion if you are trying to lose…
  • @vinlop. I think what works for you is a good thing. That is a good idea to only record loss for motivation as long as you have the overall picture and are still losing regularly.
