  • Great, thank you. I didn't realize I could add my own.
  • Thank you all for your suggestions!
  • This is what I'm thinking I need to do. Cook in bulk. :) TY!

  • I have been trying to stick to a higher protein diet lately but have noticed that most pre-packaged convenient protein type products (cold cuts, beef jerky) are astronomically high in sodium and I think this might be hindering my weight loss a bit. I've been eating a lot of beef jerky and imitation crab meat for the most…
  • The KB I have is by Lifeline. It's a 26 pound bell. I will soon need to upgrade to a 36 pound KB but they are quite expensive. Oh course if it's a commitment or a workout you plan on doing often (which I do) I feel it's ok to spend a little more and get a better quality KB. Just be sure whatever you brand you buy that it…
  • Seriously, I don't know why women are so afraid of lifting weights. I train with a 26 pound kettlebell - (soon to be 36 lbs) and it's done nothing but firm me up.
  • Squats are one of the greatest exercises to incorporate into a workout. I try to do 100 within each workout. TRY being the key word. :) Make sure your form is correct so all your hard work is effective! Good luck.
  • Yeah you can't go wrong with eating more protein, esp. if youre working out/weight training. In fact you probably want to eat more anyway. Good luck!

  • About a month ago I started training with kettlebells which are great for conditioning. They are a great cardio/weight training workout all wrapped into one. By the end of my 20 minute workouts (They are intense so anything over 20 is over doing it) I am breathing hard, sweating and my heart rate is nice and high. Plus I…
  • diet calorie free drinks store fat - how ironic. there's hidden crap (pardon my french) in everything. :)
  • Dane, I still don't think you're eating enough, man! :) But it's obviously working for you so keep up the good work.
  • the problem is you can't look at it as if you are on a DIET. it has to be a life change. re-learn the way you eat and exercise. you have to change bad habits permanently. easier said than done but thats what needs to happen. make better choices and think about whats going into your body, what effect it will have on you and…
  • I MEANT 3 TIMES A WEEK...SORRY :)
  • P.S. YOU WONT BE SO EXHAUSTED ONCE YOU START WORKING OUT, TRUST ME. EXERCISE IS THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO FOR YOURSELF. JOIN A CURVES. ITS A 30 MINUTE WORK OUT 2 TIMES A WEEK. YOU CAN MAKE SOME TIME FOR THAT IN ORDER TO BETTER YOUR LIFE.
  • I ALSO HAVE A VERY LONG COMMUTE. IT TAKES ME ABOUT 1:45 TO GET TO AND FROM WORK VIA BUS AND TRAIN. MY SOLUTION TO WORKING OUT, I JOINED A GYM THAT WAS A FEW STEPS AWAY FROM MY BUS STOP SO I GO RIGHT AFTER WORK, BEFORE I GET HOME AND COMFY AND LAZY. THIS WAS MY ONLY SOLUTION BECAUSE ONCE I'M HOME MY MOTIVATION TO GET UP AND…
  • 100 reasons to lose weight (This always gives me a boost of motication when I'm having a down day) 1. To feel good about ourselves. 2. To have GREAT sex! :) 3. So we won't think people are laughing or talking about us. 4. To buy clothes in a normal store and actually get clothes with some style to them that fit correctly.…
  • Dating with confidence and not settling! Being comfortable in my clothes and not self conscious. My extra bulge has deprived me of much needed confidence and I can't wait to get that back.
  • this is probably a silly question but why would replacing diet coke with crystal light be any better? what is in diet soda that should be avoided that isn't in crystal light?
  • drink a can of seltzer water. it fills me right up. then go to bed shortly there after before you start getting hungry again. ;)
  • If you have bad knees and you enjoy the eliptical better, then stick to that. Running is very stressful on the legs, plus you seem to be able to use the machine a lot longer. if you're not enjoyin gyour workout and only doing it to do it, then you're not going to stick to it. So find something you like and go with that.…
  • Good job Dane although that doesnt seem like enough food! Your daily caloric intake seems super low. Do you work out at all?

  • I have the same issue except its with sodium. EVERYTHING has sodium in it. Anything prepared anyway. I can't live my life solely on rabbit food and bland meat. Not to mention the cost of fresh organic food and I dont have much time to prepare my own meals. I take the smart ones/lean cuisine route for lunch often and that…
  • so basically you must fullfill the caloric intake alloted for your weight and height including any extra calories you have burned off working out in order to lose weight. it makes sense but it does seem confusing since the calories you have burned working out need to be replaced with food. defeats the purpose if you just…
  • Having a cut off time as to when to stop eating definately helps with over eating and keeps those extra calories from sneaking it. Plus sleeping on a full stomach is never a good idea.
  • I also use lettuce in place of bread. Usually romaine is the easiest to handle. For example last night I made some tuna salad with low fat mayo, currants and apples and just plopped a spoonful of that on the individual lettuce leaf and made some finger type sandwiches sans bread. you really dont miss the carbs.
  • Making a big batch of anything and freezing individual servings is always a great idea. Lowfat chili is a great idea and yes, anything in a crock pot.
  • oops sorry - we are talking frozen dinners. im a newbie, forgive me. :)
