Protein

Options
Hello, wondering if anyone can give me any advice about protein..?

When I log my food diary it is saying that I am going over my protein each day by 10 sometimes 20, is this a bad thing.. I don't think I am eating loads, but it seems to be hidden in some foods I hadn't realised had it.

Thanks

Nancy

MFP usually has most peoples protein set low (in my opinion)

    I ignore it myself

When I hired my trainer he developed a personalized meal plan for me. It had me eating a lot of protein. He said your body needs the protein to recover from working out. So I always go over on my protein and I am not at all concerned about it. My diet is still really balanced.

I customized my ratios to give me 40% protein, 40% carbs, 20% fat!! Works much better. But in general, I don't worry too much about the ratios as long as I'm good with my calories and eating healthy, clean foods!!!

My protein was always in the negative everyday too... I went into goals and clicked in edit.. then customized the settings to allow more protein and less carbs....since that is more effective for me to lose weight.

Yeah you can't go wrong with eating more protein, esp. if youre working out/weight training. In fact you probably want to eat more anyway. Good luck!
