My mother has always been a fit person (she is a certified personal trainer), and after her hysterectomy, she gained weight and had a very hard time getting back to the fitness level and weight range where she feels good. After a hysterectomy (or menopause), losing weight can be more difficult due to the changes of hormone…

Love seeing this! I am on day 4, however I am mixing the levels so I have done 1 day on each level. I am also just adding the 30ds on top of boxing and kickboxing classes, so I am not doing it every day, more like 4-5 days a week, but I am hoping to see some added results and am excited to see the results of fellow MFPers.…

I definitely do not mean to be discouraging, but if you are posting on a public forum to ask for advice in an attempt to avoid contradicting information, I think you will be disappointed. You are only receiving the opinions of others which will always be contradicting. We people, by nature, are so contrary!…

I am 5' 7". In the last 2 years I have gone from 150 to around 131-133 (currently), but really dropped weight in the last month (from 138 to 131-133ish) when I got serious about working out, toning, and calorie counting. My best advice is eat as clean as possible, but do not deprive yourself; as you move in to cleaner…

I think the best way to stop these alternative recipe indecencies is to berate and insult those who like and use them! And the best way to defend these alternative recipes is to berate and insult those who don't like or use them! Good work! :drinker:

This is my favorite post that I have found on MFP. I like that as your body mass has shrunk, your facial hair mass has increased. Also, the larger the facial hair, the less amused by the busting of myths. CONFIRMED. Thank you for the awesome and amusing success story. Well done, and here's to that beer :drinker:

I make my homemade smoothies with nuts and chia seeds; the nuts add delicious flavor and consistency (pecans are my favorite for smoothies) and chia seeds do not add flavor of their own. I actually add chia seeds to many things for extra protein, fiber, and omegas. Not a fan of powdered protein here; keep it as natural as…

"Do you ever eat?", "You need to get some meat on your bones", "you need to eat more", and then just general comments about being too skinny: all from family of course. But they are also sure to point out if I ever gain weight. So observant! At least they are consistent on both ends of the spectrum

I realize that the B-12 in meat is directly related to the diet of the animal. I was just saying that before I knew how to properly balance my diet, I had issues with it.

Feel free to add me as well. I have worked hard to get my weight down and am now focusing on strength, definition, and continuing to lower my body fat percentage! Let's get that fitness model status!!

I use cottage cheese in place of sour cream with dishes that use salsa. It is a great healthier replacement for creams/cheeses in different dishes =) I LOVE scrambled eggs, salsa, avocado and cottage cheese in the morning. It is also delicious with just a bit of pepper and sliced tomato. If you want to go the sweet route…

I have been a vegetarian since 2009. I was already on a kosher diet, watched "Food, Inc." on Netflix, AND went Thanksgiving grocery shopping with my mom and saw the turkeys all piled up in a bin, and that was it for me. I was only 18, and though I had help from my mom who is a certified personal trainer and nutritionist, I…

I have never been a tabacco user, but I became a vegetarian in 2009 and have had dreams where I am eating a hot dog, steak, etc. that were very vivid and felt real. It does make you feel guilty, but it is all a part of the process; don't let it discourage you. Congrats on the 4 months!! =)

Hey girl, Before your workout really depends on your body, but after your workout you should be replacing the protein and carbs that you have burned to help your body recover. It is also good to consume something high in potassium (like a banana), because it will help decrease soreness and cramping. These habits will make…
