A common reason is hyperplasia and is usually from a sodium/potassium balance issue.
-
Protein does not really burn fat, it does burn more cals to break down than fat or carbs. In general it should make up 10-20% of your calories for a day, depending on yor activity type and level,
-
There is lots of secret sodium in products too, like bread and tortillas(except corn), however they also offer tons of low sodium products now.
-
The old standard was 2400. Now they have lowered the amount to around 1500 mg.
-
Hint of Salt Triscuits are one thing I took on my family vacation. They are sugar free/ low sodium and higher potassium and fiber. Add a little low sodium peanut butter and they are amazing.
-
The general rule is over 60 minutes and then you might want to consider a gator-aide, under that, water is fine.
-
I did, then reset the goal, now I am focusing more on body fat%.
-
Your best bet for really low sodium is a corn tortilla, not as high fiber as some, but still a gram each and roughly 50 mg of sodium.
-
I think broccoli...

Because he is just an in shape dude.

Gotta say triple H or the rock
-
They have no salt added tomato sauce, that's a way to keep homemade stuff low sodium.

Most scales are calibrated differently and can be thrown off by what type of flooring they are on, as long as you are still making progress, I would not worry.
-
I have ran into similar situations, your best bet is to have alternative exercises ready, that way your pace is not slowed down. For example, all the squat racks taken? Try leg press or maybe lunges.

strawberries are not as high in sugar
-
I think it is definitely happening that way.... I have a friend who is constantly trying to offer me food as almost a sabotage. I think it is because people are more interested in justifying themselves by tearing others down.
-
No it doesn't stop fat burn. Losing weight is all about expending more calories than you intake.
-
That is who I'd pick... Sam Glad to see im not the only one lol
-
Starting to plan the menu now... that way it will be easier then.
-
Josh Filner one of the best friends a person could ever have!
-
Be careful doing that.. most likely you will only cut mostly water weight if you do lose the weight. That being said a trick I use to use was to not eat anything 3-4 hours before bed. It gives your body extra time to process and burn through the night.
-
Yeah. The one at my house weighs different than two in the gym I use once a week. Just denote your last weight on "that" scale if you are using it for tracking.
-
Relax... I am not saying do not track your numbers but remember the ultimate point of fitness is to function better as a person!

If you want to isolate them, and have leg weights, you can do standing hamstring curls. Just put the weights around your ankles then curl one of your legs up. Repeat whatever you feel you can do. **You might want to stand next to something to hold if you have bad balance.**
-
Carbs aren't evil, the main thing is to limit the refined ones... white bread products and move more towards eating whole wheat and high fiber foods. If you are taking in fruits/veggies/ and whole wheat you will get those high carb numbers without the down sides
