The right balance of calories?

So, I think I've finally figured out how to take in the right amount of calories per day, but I 'm concerned I'm not taking in the right balance of calories. I've heard of 40-30-40 and 30-40-40 etc., but does anyone have any suggestions on good websites where you can enter in your food and it will tell you if you're hitting that balance? Often, I'm not sure whether something is strictly a carb or has some protein or fat or whatever. This site is great for counting calories, but often the food entries are lacking in nutrional info, so I try not to go by the nutritional totals it gives me.

Any websites or ratio suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

From nutrition courses I have taken, a balance diet consists for 45-60% carbs, 15-30% protien, 20-30% fat. Any higher in protein is not a balanced diet but rather a high protein diet. Carbs are the easiest form for you body to convert into energy and fat is essential for many functions.
