  • How much water are you drinking? Do you weigh and measure your food? How much sleep do you get? These are all possible factors. Glad you are back on track and motivated to make long term changes.
  • Make muffin tin omelettes for the week. Add various veggies and bake in the oven. Add some cheese, whole grain toast with peanut butter and you have a very healthy and easy to make breakfast. Vary what you eat with the omelette if you don't like the same thing.
  • I also like Leslie Sansom, I put a DVD in my laptop and watch tv at the same time. I also like the free steps on the Wii. I got a simply fit board for Christmas and use it and watch tv as well. It's a great cardio workout plus is good for abs.
  • Not necessarily a cocktail but I often drink Smirnoff Ice light, 80 calories and same size bottle as a beer. Get it poured in a glass and add ice, you could get 2-3 drinks out of it depending on the glass. Add a lime or lemon wedge on the glass if you want to make it look fancier.
  • Snacking can be good if you have healthy snacks in the right size ready to eat. I always save 100-200 calories to have later in the evening....a package of Thinsations works well for me, only 100 calories. I can't go to bed hungry so something like that works. Drink lots of water, weigh and measure your food for accuracy,…
  • Wow, you ladies sound awesome...very supportive and motivating to each other! I just turned 50 and have gained about 4 pounds in September....on top of slowly gaining most of the year. Time to turn that around....will write more later. Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians in this group! It's turkey day at my house!
  • Sugar is the worst but picking at stuff all day leads to many calories that are too useless to ;log by themselves. I might have a quarter of a cupcake, an eighth of a sandwich etc....I have a home daycare so sometimes pick at stuff that is leftover from what I didn't give to the kids or just "sneak" a bite or two of…
  • Definitely need some support and motivation!
  • Can you send me an invite....can't find the group or maybe I didn't try hard enough to look, lol?
  • Feel free to add me, I will send requests to you all if I have time this morning.
  • Glad to hear your husband is improving. The weight will come off once you are back on track, you can do it.
  • I weighed in today, I tend to be posting my results on Wed....doing the happy dance here, just under 160, haven't been that since Dec 2014!! Think it's a combination of exercising more and Plexus. 8 days until we leave for Miami, can't wait for a 10 day vacation!
  • We are awesome!! Let's have the best week yet.
  • Hope your husband is doing well, my husband had a motorcycle accident about 5 years ago and was off work for the summer, it was a tough way to get the summer off.
  • So nice to read everyone's updates....we all have struggles, illness, emergencies, life etc. I think being accountable and honest is key to getting back on track. I hope everyone is able to relax this weekend and get some goals in place for the upcoming week....exercise, meals, water, sleep etc. I have been on the…
  • My goal is to get more sleep....I will be in bed by 10:30 each night.
  • I am off to a great start!! Feeling so much better, 2.5 miles on the treadmill and a 30 minute routine of strength and stretching. Lets get this week going everyone. Hope you all stay healthy. Rome sounds exciting, I hope to get there some year on a cruise ship.
  • Can't believe it is Saturday and I am still feeling crappy!! I rarely get sick and even with colds, only lasts 2-3 days. I went to the doctor on Thursday and he says it's the flu and a sinus infection, lucky me, NOT. I started antibiotics and a steroid nose spray but I am still filled up, coughing and no energy. I am…
  • sorry everyone, I wasn't feeling good on Sunday and by Monday evening, it turned into the flu. I am up but just barely and going back to bed for a bit. Hopefully by tomorrow, I will feel much better.
  • Have fun tonight! Not sure where spring went, no sign of her here and winter isn't leaving us alone....2-3 inches forecast for tomorrow, yuck.
  • I love this! The more points we get, the harder we are working. However, support is key to continuing on the journey. It would be great for our team to stick together into the next challenge.
  • I love this! The more points we get, the harder we are working but it's not about winning the competition, it's about being stronger and healthier while supporting each other. Support is key in this journey, perhaps we could continue on as a team in the next challenge....
  • Accountable: 1- logging daily, I have missed a few days but sometimes if I eat at someone else's house, it isn't possible to log accurately so I don't bother guessing. I had gotten bad logging so doing it almost daily is great. 2- Being part of a team....I don't want to let my team down so I am doing my best to get as many…
  • Wow, time to refocus, the past week was a bit rough....family member had a triple bypass and is still not out of the woods yet. We were away for that for 3 days but getting better today....did 2 miles on the treadmill at dinner time. We all started out strong, spring is coming, hopefully, so bring on the challenges!
  • This looks like a tough week for many of us....we can do it. I quickly looked at some of the other teams and they are struggling as well. We can do this, lets end the week strong.
  • I think many people were much slacker last week, I fought a migrane for 3 days and slept half of Friday and then the rest was Easter weekend. So back on track this week, although Monday wasn't great with school kids home. Did much better today and plan on improving each day as we go this week. We are taking a fun weekend…
  • I love most veggies and fruits....just love the taste of berries and to keep it healthy, I don't add sugar....plain and cut up if needed. Second is casseroles....pasta or rice with chicken or ground beef and with canned soup. To make it healthier we buy low sodium soup and load up on veggies.....peppers, onions, mushrooms,…
  • I was super lazy yesterday but honestly, it was well deserved....I have a very busy home daycare and it was my only day in the entire month of March with no daycare kids. I weighed in yesterday and my lowest weight in a year but then this morning, I have suddenly gained 2 pounds, no way that I ate that much yesterday! I am…
  • Why would you want to stop now? What are your goals for the day, week, month, challenge, season, year? WHY did you join the challenge? Keep your focus on why you are doing this and know that we all fail but the key is to pick yourself back up and keep going. I had a bad weekend eating wise....Burger King on Sat, a 6 inch…
  • I'm doing the omega challenge, I take an omega 3 supplement daily so that's easy! Plus I use olive oil 3-4 times a week. I already posted my egg recipe....I love omelettes and have thought about trying the muffin tin ones. I tried that and had one breakfast today and have 5 more in the fridge to get me through the week.…
