  • This is my exact problem! Freezing small chocolates has worked for me some of the time. I'm going to try going to bed earlier and brushing my teeth sooner to see if this helps.
  • Leftovers, be purposeful when cooking...always make enough to freeze at least one serving if not two. Casseroles, chili, lasagna, soup, meatloaf all freeze great. 5 out of 7 days a week are Leftovers from that week or pull from the freezer. I have a home daycare and little time to prep lunch for me.
  • Feel free to add me, I'm ready to recommit and log daily, at least most days. It's fun to get ideas from others.
  • A melaleuca simply fit bar and a clementine, ate as we did errands this morning.
  • Good morning lovely ladies! This week has been a struggle....I'm tired and have had a headache every day, thankfully none bad or migraine like but very frustrating. I lose all motivation in the evening when I feel this way. The scale is somehow down slightly this morning which is encouraging but still not where I had…
  • Are you weighing and measuring your food, it's important to be accurate? How did you get your calorie goal? I don't think you're eating enough. I weigh about 10p pounds less and aim for 1500 calories a day.
  • Good morning and happy Tuesday! It was a great long weekend for me...did some cleaning and relaxing at our cottage. We spent some time with my sister who came home for the long weekend, we actually share our cottage property so we have lots of time together in the summer. I did good eating and logged at least some of my…
  • Lisa....wishing you the best at your dental appointment, can't say I like them but go every 6 months so I don't have any major issues. Time to get smart and not give away your "pretties" as some of my daycare girls call them :) . The sun is shining but it's cool out. Laundry is done and going to hang out some of it, love…
  • I'm going on a cruise to Alaska in sept! Can't wait to see the scenery and do a couple of excursions. I've heard so many wonderful things. Shelley
  • Good morning beautiful peeps! It's rainy this morning and windy but we need some rain and this won't be enough. I've started logging my day and on my 6th glass of water, it's 10:50 am for me so doing good. It's a quieter day in my daycare so that's helpful. Have a great day, looking forward to a long weekend in Canada!!
  • Happy Monday! I did good at logging and my evening snacking....I actually lost a pound on the weekend. although I thought the emotional mess and turmoil of the week was over, sad to say it wasn't. My 20 year old son had his heart broken when his girlfriend of almost 2 years suddenly broke up with him. They were part of the…
  • Good morning new friends! I will eventually figure out and remember who you all are. I'm so thankful to have found this group again (think I joined it 3-4 years ago) but was never active in it. You are all so caring and just sharing about your daily lives makes this so supportive. I'm ready to start a new chapter in my…
  • Hello ladies! Maybe this is the group I need to get motivated and make some changes....so glad to have found this group once again. Getting summer clothes out from storage is a huge motivator to kick start my weight loss once again. I'm at my heaviest I've ever been (including 3 pregnancies) so that's very hard to see…
  • I've restarted this so many times.....I'm more determined than I've been in a few years and I recognize a few downfalls for myself! I generally do great until about 7pm...then I lose my motivation and my sweet tooth takes over, so I'm learning to account for some evening snacks and have those calories to be within my goal.…
  • Glad to see that you are going to start weighing your food. Make sure you log everything you eat. I stopped logging a few years ago and recently decided that I was ready to make some real changes and lose weight again. It was very eye opening when I started logging again! I'm still struggling to lose anything but at least…
  • Thanks for the motivation! I'm in my mid 50's and have gained 5 pounds since early Jan. I'm ready to start tracking everything again and maybe that will open my eyes to how many calories I'm really consuming. I also know that I need to increase my activity and work on muscle mass.
  • My goal is 160, it's still higher than what it should be but still a good goal. I'm 54, 5'4" and weigh 181 currently.
  • Good morning everyone! I'm late to joining the party but better late than never right??!! I'm ready to recommit once again....darn life always gets in the way of my goals or mid evening hits and my all motivation during the day goes away. So I'm 53 and currently weigh 182, which is close to my highest ever. My health is…
  • I'm one of those odd people who benefit by weighing daily....it just helps me stay more accountable and I understand the ups and downs!
  • Is there a particular food that "makes" you gain weight without actually eating a ton of calories? For some reason, my body hates it when I eat jujubes....I know even if I have a handful, I'll gain at least a pound and maybe 2, then lose it by the next day.

  • Welcome, I won't say good luck, because luck doesn't have anything to do with weight loss! This is a great community to help you learn, motivate and stick to your goals. Feel free to add me as a friend.
  • Good information, I have lost weight in the past simply by calorie counting. Guess that will be my plan! Back on track with weighing and measuring and logging every single bite. Plus doing some exercise to tone up and build some muscles.
  • I haven't been very active on here lately but am looking for motivation and support to get back on track. I'll provide the same thing to others!
  • I don't have any problems searching things, sometimes I'm more specific and sometimes just use generic but there are plenty of foods to choose from when you search for something.

  • If you were snacking on pickles, pepperonis and cheese strings, that sounds like a ton of sodium in a few days which for many people would be a weight gain, at least water weight. I'm just researching keto but I think sodium would be something to watch out for.

  • 1500,being in your 50's isn't fun for this
  • This....so many factors play a role. It's not that many really when you factor in the exercise.
  • Challenge yourself with something. ....for example, drink 8ounces of water before having a treat, do so many jumping jacks before a treat. Just don't keep the temptations around. I buy thinsations,;100 calorie packs of treats. They are good and a nice evening treat to look forward to.
  • Whether it actually makes a difference or not, I do lose weight when I consistently drink 8 -10 glasses of water a day.
