  • I've tried (and enjoy) all of them and suggest starting with the 30 Day Shred. It has 3 20 minute workouts on it and I had amazing results....flat abs, toned arms, slim legs, and I credit this to 30 Day Shred. You just need some dumbbells (I used 5 lbs) and a yoga mat. The other DVDs have one workout, which you can break…
  • I can relate. I had extremely poor service and rude attitudes from the sales staff the last time I tried buying something at Best Buy. I walked across the way to Target and bought my iPod touch there, instead. Good for you for informing corporate. I should have done the same.
  • You are so inspiring! Thank you for sharing your story. I'm 32 and did the 30DS this summer and loved it! I've been trying to get my mom (who's 62) to workout and she just feels too old, and like she isn't capable of pushing herself. I sent her your story for some inspiration and proof that you can get fit at any age.…
  • Double post
  • It's called lanolin, and it should definitely help.
  • Unfortunately, all you can do is educate, and the rest is up to him. I would buy him the Eat Clean Diet for Men book by Tosca Reno and let him soak that in. Maybe it will give him something to think about, and lead him towards making healthier food choices.…
  • Dear lord you look fantastic! I am so impressed and totally inspired!
  • Been there. You need to keep doing cardio to burn the fat off, and add some strength training to build your ab muscles. Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred DVD worked miracles for me - and I've had a baby and thought I would NEVER have a flat stomach or be able to see my abs again. I've accomplished both, and feel like I look…
  • I'm 5'4" 107 pounds, and a size 0-2, and 32 y.o. I love J Crew and buy most of my work clothes either there or Banana Republic. Gap can be good too, or even H&M for a good bargain, and they carry a wide range of styles. Enjoy shopping for those smaller sizes!
  • I follow the Eat Clean Diet and use sucanat, agave nectar, or honey. They all work great in baking, as well.
  • I love the book Eat Clean Diet Recharged by Tosca Reno: http://www.amazon.com/Eat-Clean-Diet-Recharged-Lasting-Better/dp/1552100677/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1288187214&sr=8-1 It totally changed my relationship to food and I've drastically altered my eating habits. Plus, it really works for weight loss.
  • I do meditation research at one of the southern ivies. ...and mom to a spunky two year old (but she's more fun than work :)
  • Ambien. Just kidding...kind of :) Get in a tough workout and work off that nervous energy!
  • LOL. I think it's kind of funny. It's just a novel way of marketing a boring old cake pan. Now, if one were to eat an entire one of those...that would be disturbing :)
  • You look fantastic, girlie! Keep it up :)
  • I'm not familiar with the coffee you mentioned, but ANY caffeinated coffee or tea will help you lose weight. The caffeine boosts your metabolism and can even make you work out harder. It's the things we add to these drinks (cream, sugar) that works against us and adds to our waistline :)
  • I've been working on maintaining since August and can definitely relate to the stress of the unknown, and not wanting to gain. MFP will let you set your weight goals to maintenance, - "maintain my current weight" - and that will let you now about how many calories you should be eating. Slowly add calories back into your…
  • Start with an issue of Clean Eating magazine and see if it's up your alley. Minimal investment, lots of recipes :)
  • I LOVE pumpkin! I posted a recipe for a pumpkin smoothie and pumpkin oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (found this recipe on MFP) on my blog. Feel free to check them out: http://raelbee.wordpress.com/
  • Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred DVD. It will do WONDERS for your abs and core. I'm rock solid now after having a baby, thanks to that DVD. Do it diligently and you won't be disappointed.
  • Awesome! They are so good! I've been having one every night :)
  • I just checked out your blog and found it really inspirational, and I've added you to google reader :) I recently started a blog to capture some of the clean/healthy foods and recipes I'm trying out. Feel free to check it out! http://raelbee.wordpress.com/
  • From what I've heard, and in my own personal experience, the belly fat is the last place to go. Keep doing cardio to burn the fat, and your belly will eventually slim down and flatten out.
  • I know what you mean. I stopped wearing heels completely when I was heavier - just too much effort with all of that extra weight. I've since started wearing them again, and definitely feel more feminine when I do :) Try heels made by Clarks or any of their related lines - Indigo, Privo, etc. They are pricey but I find…
  • I think this article, and the OP, is probably referencing the recent research into the artificial butter flavor and it's link to cancer among factory workers who have high exposure levels. Here's one scholarly journal article:…
  • I've noticed that people are nicer and friendlier to me now that I am thin again. But that may also be due to my increased confidence :)
  • Congratulations on the engagement! As for the weight loss, you can totally do this. MFP is such an awesome tool, and will help keep you accountable. The forums are full of friendly, helpful people. Good luck!
  • I'm having the same issues. I met met goal weight the first week of August and have since lost an additional 6 pounds - bringing me down to 112 pounds. I REALLY don't want to lose anymore. I'm struggling with finding the right balance of diet and exercise. At first I was exercising just as hard as when I was trying to…
  • I stick to spices (super low calories), and chili powder is my favorite one so far.
  • It's the applesauce. It adds moisture and will make baked goods a little sponge-y. I don't mind it, but it's personal preference.
