  • Just wanted to give people an update on how I've been doing so far. I've started by speaking to someone about my mental health issues, furthermore I've been going the gym a lot more regularly, doing the couch to 5k and also a 10K trainer. I've been back to parkrun and in the last couple of weeks I've lost nearly 7lbs so…
  • I've started my half marathon training today, going out to do the 10K trainer and then go from there after the 14 weeks, by the time it comes round again I should be fully prepared this time!
  • Today, I decided I needed to snap out of it and go for a run, especially after weighing myself this morning. I was so nervous about it all day, more so when I was getting ready. It might sound pretty sad to some people, but it's just the way i am and the way I struggle with things. :( I was wavering, but I stuck with it,…
  • Thanks all. I did a long walk yesterday on my lunch, so I'm going to try and get out and do a run. The last time I did one, I only lasted about 2km before I went back inside, so I'll see how I get on. :)
  • Hi all, thanks for the comments, just an update for you. I managed to get to parkrun on saturday morning for the first time in about 3 months, my thighs are absolutely killing me now but I felt so much better. I ran a 32:09 which is pretty good considering my PB is 29:09. I also decided on my lunch, I'm going to do a walk…
  • Thanks everyone, I appreciate the comments.
  • Hi there, No negative calories set up, and no high MFP activity level. It's classed as sedentary as I have an office job. I've checked the steps and It's showing the fitbit tracker as default. I've changed my weight on Fitbit and it's synced over to my fitness pal with no issues. I checked earlier and it was showing 12…
  • I could do with being adopted. On a massive plateau at the moment, been trying and trying to drop the weight but struggling. No problem with exercise (doing couch to 5K at the moment) and I do Parkrun now and then when I can (I have two young children) but it's the eating part that gets me. I always seem to be hungry, I've…
  • I did my first last night in 1:17:45, absolutely made up with that.
  • North West England. Anyone want to add, feel free. :-)
  • Hi, I know how you are feeling. I fell off the wagon myself recently, but trying to get back on it in a big way this week. I've been suffering with bouts of depression too, and I'm finding it more and more difficult to go the gym, I just comfort eat and it's starting to get out of hand now but I'm going to try and make a…
  • Fell off the wagon myself recently, but trying to get back on it in a big way this week. Now that our family has gone from 3 to 4 with the birth of our baby son 7 weeks ago, I'm finding it more and more difficult to go the gym, but I'm going to make a proper go of it. Still doing parkrun and going to do the 30 day…
  • Sounds good. Don't think we get it over here in the UK though, never seen that particular brand before.
  • Water is definitely not a problem. I must go through at least 3 litres worth every day in work, I'm always up at the water machine lol.
  • I do tend to struggle with the food side of things, not really badly, but I do stray away from healthy food now and again. I think I need to try and develop some kind of daily planner. It's just sticking to it. I've had motivation in the past, a lot of it, but now i'm trying to find it again. :(
  • I will do. Thanks.
  • Hi. I try to use some protein shakes when I'm going to the gym but most of the time I tend to forget. I try and eat chicken, rice etc but could be doing with eating more.
  • Welcome to MFP!

  • I've also tried a detox that a friend of mine on here recommended, but due to my IBS, I can only go a day before my stomach becomes really sore. :-(
  • I could be doing with something like these suggestions for my moobs lol. I always thought that my weight was put on my butt or my waist, it's not, it goes on my chest. :-( On a side note, I wonder how many of you ladies have had friend requests from strange guys since the original poster started this thread? :-)
  • UK based here too! :-) From Cheshire! Not really a newbie, but I've started from scratch on New Years Day so I've got my goals to aim for, and after my bout of sciatica, I'm really for my mojo to kick in (which it has done) and visit the gym at least 4-5 times a week. Feel free to add me, the more motivators, the merrier!…
  • Warrington here. Getting back in to this big time. By all means add me as a friend, motivation most welcome! :-)
  • That's really good going! Unfortunately my bum, chest and waist are my main trouble zones. My other one is my thighs but I think the reduction has started with them as I seem to be finding it easier fitting into my shorts and my work pants. I guess it will come soon enough, I just have to stick with it which is what I am…
  • No, I'm burning around 800 a day average from going to the gym. I'm eating on average about 1,800 cals a day.
  • I was going to post the same thing. I have lost 9lbs since my last weigh in yet my chest and waist are still the same, I've not lost any inches. Even though I'm doing really well, it's getting me down a little because now I feel that I'm not doing enough and it's not working (despite my weight loss). :-(
  • Hi Wendy, I'm the same! Never really bothered with the forums but have been reading loads of stuff from people and it's certainly giving me extra motivation! I've already been the gym today but thinking of going again this evening, much is that I want to continue it! :-) Best of luck with your journey! I've not got a…
  • I was exactly the same. I couldn't be bothered doing anything about it, would eat and eat and eat and just feel sorry for myself. I started having a few breathing problems and walking up stairs became an issue for me, so I just decided I HAD to do something about it. Started a diet routine, and decided to go the gym…
  • Today is still early, but I'm just proud that I still have the motiviation to get where I want to be. If i'd have answered last week I would have said I was proud to walk into a Cafe, order a sausage, bacon and mushroom barm for my fiancee and when the lady asked what I wanted, I said "absolutely nothing!!" :-D
