20-25 net. This is my first time really aiming this low as previously I was at 35-50 net carbs, but I'm trying this for a while to really get better control on my eating habits. One week in and I feel better already.

I have an 8, 14 and 16 year olds. Both teens have lost quite a bit of weight within the past 6-12 months. My son likes to do low carb from observing what I do, so much so that sometimes I have to remind him to get enough protein and fat because he's still growing! So...when I first started trying keto, I tried to get my…

I would say to enjoy it while it lasts! Haha. My appetite was pretty well under control for a while when I first started, but it picked up later. However, I have never done strict keto and have usually kept my carbs at around 35-50.

I work from home,, so my schedule is looser than some and I also don't do full time hours. So once they are all off to school, that's my time to have a little run outside before getting ready for the day. It doesn't always happen when other things get scheduled into the morning, but I aim for 3-4 days a week. If I go…

Every once in a while I do when I'm abnormally hungry, but mostly no. I don't always log my exercise either because it doesn't matter to me how many more calories MFP gives me.

Great story! Thanks for sharing it.

Hard work pays off. Congrats!

Thanks @tcunbeliever super helpful list of info. There are a couple there that I need to look into.

Great news! Gives me hope too. :)

Water and protein, yes, I think there is something to that. I've always had my carbs at higher than 20...I'm just not happy unless I have enough vegetables in my diet not being a big fan of meat. So maybe a lack of protein is the culprit. I already have menopause, but yeah, that's messed with me for the past year and a…

Very inspiring! Well done!

Awesome! I'm in my 3rd week back at keto after a break and actually forgot to have my coffee this morning because I didn't feel so tired. I LOVE my coffee...so weird! :) Great job!

I see the difference! And 3 months postpartum and verrrrry soon for expectations. You're doing great!

Please feel free to add me too! I'm not new to keto, but I'm back after a brief hiatus. :) Kind of relearning all those things I knew but stopped doing. I agree...planning ahead for what you will eat saves the day. It seems like a pain, but for me I'm ok with repeating some meals like lunch all the time and I rarely eat…

Me! My doctor suggested it as I was prediabetic. Now I'm not. :)

I drink some pickle juice every day, but I don't let my family see me because they gag :) I also drink bouillon sometimes and add salt to my foods. I haven't had keto flu in a long long time even starting keto again recently after just being low carb for a long time. I don't log it though. I can tell by how I'm feeling if…

I'm a runner and have been keto in the past. I've been doing more of a low carb diet in the past 6-8 months, but I am trying to go back to keto right now. I'm interested to see how it affects my running. So far nothing noticeable as I'm already used to running and intermittent fasting. I run a bit less than you, anywhere…

I did keto for about a year and lost 40 pounds, and that was with lots of good vegetables, protein and a few fruits but rarely any breads or grains. Now I'm simply lower carb and the only difference is that I eat more fruit now. I still do not eat many desserts or breads/grains/pastas. I have avoided medications for both…

We just got over that. The first thing I ate after was a half a piece of toast with butter. After that I made chicken soup with vegetables and ate that a few times. Now I'm back to my regular stuff. Hope you feel better soon!

That's wonderful! Yes I know what you're talking about. It's those "little scale victories" that keep us going huh?

The arsenic in mine is quite alarming. What?!

I'm new to weightlifting but not low carb. I had terrible muscle soreness repeatedly...not just once or twice...until I started taking magnesium. Now it's much better. I think I have magnesium malate.

Did it for a while. Don't like it enough to have it instead of food though. :)

I usually get a steak fajita salad that comes with avocado, egg, etc. It still has carbs of course, but not like eating tortillas and such. I also indulge in a few chips with salsa, but I can usually stop after a few. The steak/avocado/egg combo is very satisfying because we never have steak at home. Have fun!

I keep some dark chocolate on hand and I don't usually crave it until I really need it. :) I eat it with a little peanut butter.

Marvelous!

I drink Coke Zero about once or twice a week. I do think it might not be the best for me because I don't drink enough water when I'm adding soda to my day, but I don't really think it makes me crave sweets.

Agreed that hungry days will come again! Most of the time I eat at mealtimes out of habit and not from hunger. But every now and then, I am ravenous and I do eat more on those days.
