Keto and running support
Hi all, I've been keto for 2-3 years and running on and off during that time. I would love to have a couple running friends who also do keto. As time goes on, I'm finding it harder to keep my energy level up. It could be age and the stage of life I'm in (45, mom of 3, working part time) but the energy drop is pretty…

MCT
Sorry I know this has been discussed before, but I never took the plunge to try MCT oil till now. I don't like the taste of coconut oil in my coffee, so I'm going to try this in an effort to tighten up my morning coffee (dump the sugar free creamers). What kind of MCT oil is recommended? I'm looking at Amazon and the…

Does anyone have an elliptical?
I'm not much of a workout machine person. I like to go outdoors and walk or jog, but my son has expressed an interest in getting more fit with either a treadmill or an elliptical. I see one on Craigslist called the Airstrider e60. Does anyone have one and can give me a review? I don't see much online besides replacement…

IF and coffee
I apologize since I know this has been asked more than once before, but at the time when I read those posts, I was not at all interested in intermittent fasting. Now I am! Weight loss has stalled since mid July and I need to try different things out. So....I think I can fast and only eat 11am-7pm, but how does coffee work…

How often do you recalculate your macros?
It's been several months since I recalculated my macros/calories on the Keto Calculator, so I tried it again today. I'm not unhappy with the results, but why am I allotted more calories now? Is it because my macros have changed a little? I was given 1372 kcal at the start, now I am given 1542 after losing 23 pounds. This…

Digital scales
Are they pretty accurate? When I first stepped on this morning it said 164.6...which would have been a 5-pound whoosh. I couldn't believe that so kept stepping on it again and again and was in the 169 range amd that's the weight I recorded. It has me wondering how accurate digital scales are.

Evening tea
I would like to try some tea in the evenings. It can include HWC. Anything really yummy you use that a non tea drinker might like to try? I don't care for herbal teas. The only tea I really loved was Darjeeling tea, but that's too full of caffeine for me to drink in the evenings.

Low carb meatloaf recipe
Does anyone have a favorite? I tried one a few weeks ago and it fell apart. I cook for 4 other people, so usually I just stay away from the things I don't want to eat, but sometimes when I'm asked for a certain meal, I have to change the whole thing to low carb (and they don't really mind usually). :) Thanks!

Fixing MFP macros
I went a few pages in to search for this topic, but I couldn't find it. How can I adjust my macros so I'm at 7% carbs, etc.? 10% is more than I want, 5% is too low...

HWC with no carbs
I just noticed that if I input HWC on the regular database, it counts 0 carbs, but the HWC I've been buying from Safeway has 2 per tablespoon. Are most 0 and I just happened to find the one with carbs? Grrr...

Sick tummy after breakfast
I typically eat a pretty big breakfast high in fat. Now I am having a sick tummy throughout the morning. I don't mind the full feeling it gives me, but I just feel a little nauseated. I'm not usually that hungry for it. Maybe I should try eating later? I am one month on the low carb diet. Still learning!

Is there such thing as very low carb peanut butter?
I can't find one. I don't want 6g of sugar in 2T of peanut butter. :(

Two weeks in and 7 lbs off
My ticker only reflects a 2 lb loss because my weight has yo-yo'ed lately, but I'm 7 lbs down from my doc appointment two weeks ago! Excited! Not expecting a quick weight journey here, but I'm just thrilled it's moving in the right direction. After counting calories for 8 months and only losing 12 pounds (then gaining some…

Curious about artificial sweeteners
I'm seeing some folks say that they trigger the same response in your body as real sugar, and other folks are saying they use sugar free syrups for coffee, sugar free gums, jello etc. So what is the news on artificial sweeteners? I am only in my second week of low carb. So far I've found that I can definitely sustain…

Hope you don't mind a stupid question
I'm very new to low carb. I saw my doctor last Weds who said I needed to do this to avoid dealing with diabetes (prediabetic). He didn't really specify what kind of level to set my carbs at, just gave me a link to follow to get info which did not work. So...after reading a few things online I decided 50 grams would be ok…

How many calories did you add for breastfeeding?
I added 300...and I am into the second year so it's not like it's baby's main source of nutrition. I have been trying to wean, but so far it's slow going (baby's resistance). Anyone use lower calories for bfing? So I have mine set at 1500 and I eat most of my exercise calories back (between 300-400 a day) for a usual total…

Interval Training on comcast
I looked a few pages thru and didn't see an answer to my question. How do you log calories burned for interval training? It's cardio but also weights. Today I did one with Cathy Syphers for 30 minutes.

The pain!!!
Just started working out again after a baby and of course in pain from doing JM's workout -- not the 30DS but another one on Comcast that is more cardio and goes 45 min. It hurts all day to move. What do you do...do you keep it up every day or do you alternate and do something else to let your body recover? It seems like…

Meds and weight loss
Does anyone have insight as to whether blood pressure meds can affect weight loss? I had postpartum preeclampsia in January and have been on various bp meds since then. I am still hoping to get off of them completely, but it's taking a lot longer than the doctors said it would. Usually it's 6 weeks...I'm going on 5 months.…

Breastfeeding
Anyone else breastfeeding and doing MFP? I added 300 calories to my daily allowance and am pretty much just tracking so I am more aware of what I'm eating. The exercise is hit or miss still. Anyone having success while bfing?

Lindt dark chocolate w/ sea salt
Yum! It's a huge bar and one pretty good size square is about 48 calories. I have been looking for something as a treat here and there...something chocolate that isn't over the top. The sugar free puddings and stuff just didn't cut it for me. But this dark choc. lindt with sea salt is amazing! Try it! ;-)

Question for the runners
I recently upped my miles just to see how I could push myself. I'm loosely following my friend's training schedule for a half marathon. However, since I've started running more miles, I am totally out of energy during the day. Yes, I'm eating some more calories and more protein. Is my body just adjusting? Here's what's…
