  • Hello all! I am back to MFP after a very long break. I am now 53 years old. I have had cancer twice from weight related estrogen. I have had both hips replaced and one knee replaced and now I need to lose weight to have the other knee replaced. To do that I have to lose 40 pounds. But in all reality I have to lose about…

  • Hi all. I am in need of support badly! It’s literally going to save my life. I have had estrogen related cancer twice now since 2015. And with so much extra weight on me they won’t give me the estrogen blocker med bc my fat cells are releasing estrogen also! The most successful times of weight loss in my life has always…
  • Hi! I am the type of supporter that is everyday, daily communication, daily accountability to each other, and so forth. So if you are looking for THAT level of support message me! Michelle
  • This works for me too! And I sabotage my eating all of the time. THIS ONE WORKS! Actually, let me rephrase this. For me, I go as long as I can between lunch and 7pm without eating so that when I have that one meal that is a little more late in the evening, it holds me over through the night.
  • Another thought is that it could be emotional eating. When we feel deprived of something, that part of our senses wants it reache out for anything and everything. My suggestion is to stay busy, eat high protein-low carb items to curve any sugar related cravings and stay the course. Drinks tons of water too! You can do it!
  • Thank you lambertj! I started taking them 3 days ago. My hormonal dr told me that I am indeed low and wants me to take 5000 mg a day. So I started. I am keeping a journal on all of this now to figure it out. Hope it helps!
  • Thank you for posting this rompers16. I DO have a Vit D def. but didn't think it did all of that. Maybe my research should start there. How big of a difference did it make for you?
  • Actuually the drs are using my "successes" as learning tools for themselves. These conditions, though not new, are fairly unexplored in successful matters. Most stories that I have read and info given to me from the drs is based on accepting the "debilatating" aspect of it. So thus far I am a success story. But the…

  • SOOOO when are we starting and where? Another idea I had would be to have a Cannonball Goal. In other words, pick one of your goals that is so hard for you or so detriment that you keep it, that you make it your Cannonball Goal. If you get all of your goals completed but cave on that one, you take a 0 for all daily goals.…
  • Did you have me in mind when typing this, Dorie??? LOL!
  • Should we make a new thread for the BrainStorming week ideas?
  • Any numbers on weightloss totals yet for those that stayed the course.... that would exclude me. :(
  • Hi all! I have been here checking in but unable to keep up with all of it. What is crazy is that I AM a list, chart and daily goal person. But this challenge was extremely hard for me to keep up with. If I may, and I understand if you feel that I shouldn't give my opinion since I have not logged in regularly, but if I may…
  • Hi Dorie and All! I am not in the swing of things yet from all of my travels but I am still here checking in. Looking forward to getting back to normal!
  • I am still here too. This past three weeks have been crazy with traveling. My middle daughter graduated Navy Bootcamp so we went to the Great Lakes to celebrate that with her. Then she was transported to San Antonio, TX for her base. Since that fell on our week vacation, we decided to spend it there. We had a blast but now…
