I'm in! Actually, my friends and I (8 of us) are doing this challenge!! Our challenge includes $5 entry fee and winner gets the pot! Our winner has to lose at least the 5 lbs and who ever loses the most over that, wins! If no knows loses the 5 lbs, we will do another challenge for November and the pot money will grow.…

I changed my profile pic to my "just above pant line... hip/stomach (side)" tattoo. I got mine done when I weighed about 170 (2008). When I dropped to 136 in 2009 it still looked great. I have not had children and I don't know how much it will get affected... (I hope it doesn't) Lol but we'll have to see. I do like the…

Always take things easy and remember to stretch and ice. I was training for a half marathon a few years back when my co-workers noticed weakness in my right hip just by watching the way I walk! After about another year my hip began to pain me and I finally went to MD. I had tendonitis (from running too much with little…

Thanks! Can't wait to try this!

Do you have access to a bike? You can set the seat to increase or decrease the range of motion for knee....

I have 8.

I tried them once before.... I didn't lose any weight but I did feel less bloated. I've noticed though, if I eat enough fresh veggies and fruits... I also feel less bloated. You could probably skip buying them and increase the amount of fresh berries to do the trick...

I don't really know much about it, but I've heard thyroid issues can make weight loss or gain tough...
-
I won't try it... Research that I have found said that it's the LOW restricted calories that make you lose weight not the hcg... I don't know about it...

Make sure you're getting enough water. Eight cups is general rule for sedentary lifestyle... Exercising means more than 8... One website I looked at said that for my height and weight I should be drinking 13 cups daily! Yikes!! I keep it between 9-12... Make sure the cardio exercise is not daily routine activites but…

My area too... If your dog is secured and another animal/person comes in and gets hurt, your dog is not "liable." But, definitely check. I know of some states, city, neighborhoods that don't allow pitbulls. I'm fond of the breed and heard that they are the best companion and family dogs :)

I didn't lose the first few weeks... But keep with it! Take measurements, take pictures. Remember to eat right and fuel your body with the good stuff Good luck!

 Great job! Keep it up!

I used RunnersWorld.com. You can read forums, ask questions, find info... I am a Phsyical Therapy Assistant and I have a "bad" knee and "bad" hip ---Yup, I was weak, but have improved. Make sure you are performing ankle, knee, and hip strengthening AND stability exercises. Do a good warm-up, cool-down, and ice. And, make…

Shoes! I had an issue with my foot going numb with prolonged ellipitical... I actually starting changing up to a forward and backward movement. I would ride for 10-20 mins forward then switch to backward for 10-20 mins. Or switch every 5 mins... I felt it worked different muscles with the backwards motion as well.... I…

From what I understand... They are telling you that you need to eat your 1360 calories AND the calories that you are burning off. I myself have a hard time following that because I thought I should have been cutting my calories.... Cutting too much though puts your body into starvation mode and it won't let go of anything.…

I would love to join the challenge! My goals are: Stay under my calorie count. Lose 15 lbs. Run at least 35 miles for each months, Sept, Oct, Nov, & Dec.

Great job! It is so exciting! Keep it up :)

Thanks for the info  but my problem is a morning workout.... I wake up at 4:50am to be working out at 5am til 6am, then it's time to shower and get ready to leave for work by 7am. How can I eat 1.5-2 hours before my workout? Is there other advice for something/someone with this "close time" situation? Or something I…

Jennifer 27 Montville, Ohio I was training for a half-marathon in 2008 and I dropped down to 136 and I looked more tone than ever! Since then, I have gotten lazy and had a hip injury... I'm back up to 160 and I DON'T LIKE IT!
