  • You are in diet mode. As soon as you adopt the thought that you are not on a diet and this is your life from now on, the losses will happen. Also cut the extras at weekend. Maybe allow yourself a couple of hundred cals for a extra treat but cheating yourself isn't the way to carry on. Note everything and look forward to…
  • I hear you, have totally the opposite worry myself. I workout hard doing high energy dvd workouts and struggle to get over 200 in a 40 min session. Luckily I never eat all my exercise cals.
  • Good question, I'm always afraid to eat my exercise cals and before I got my heart rate monitor I'm glad I never since mfp was way off mark for me. I kinda stay to normal calorie amount but have a naughty unmarked treat at weekend
  • I have just watched the video and I am shocked plus a little sad. This lady maybe extreme but typical of most people who have no clue about food. I think since losing weight, it does make us more observant to everyone elses eating habits. I often look in someone elses shopping cart to see what they buy/feed their families…
  • Good idea, lots of jumping puts pressure on the bladder too, anyone solved that problem?
  • Thankyou, I figured it out. The setting automatic was on moderate, I changed it to light and its gave me a higher calorie burn. Still not seeing same numbers on here but much better than they were. It was disheartening doing a 50 min Turbo Jam workout, giving it my all for 130 cals. Now I'm clocking nearly 300 so I am…
  • I have the F6 and yes to all. Just frustrating when most people I read are getting big numbers and I'm finding it difficult breaking triple figures. By the time resting cals taken off I wouldn't have burned much at all. I know I work out daily for over a year but not super fit or anything. Wondering if it could be faulty.
  • I'm stuck! Had my Polar F6 for a few days and I'm gutted. Workouts that brag huge calorie burns hardly do anything. Going to to a Shred tomorrow for curiosity. Do you all have your's set on light, mod or hard? Good job I've never eaten back all cals.
  • Well I have my hrm watch and has been fun shouting 5 cals for up and down the stairs. Quite gutted now though, was clocking cals here and guessing a high impact cardio workout was around 400 cals and the hard truth I only burn 200. Glad I never ate all my extra cals, good job really. I really never thought it made a…
  • If you like the occasional drink and the odd treat the best way is to eat healthy. Fill a 3rd of your plate with veg/salad, not a huge portion of meat/protein and less carbs. I find piling my plate up with veg, topped with maybe a little rice and a couple of spoonfuls of curry is enough to confuse my brain into thinking I…
  • I just tried to link. Maybe our wearlinks are not bluetooth. Oh well, excitement over... http://www.polar.fi/en/products/accessories/Polar_WearLink_transmitter_with_Bluetooth
  • I am hoping to grab a F6 in pink tomorrow all being well. A gym supplies store has them on offer near me for half price. Anyone have this 1?
  • Me too, 42 years young and have 6 lb to go. Add me x
  • Quit complaining and get serious! Magic potions and pills are like Cinderella's pumpkin. Eat less, do more and do food diaries!
  • Doing plyometric exercises should be on there, I researched rebounding last year and found 12 mins of jumping burns 84cals. Can't remember what site it was but there was a very long list for easy burns.
  • This is what I have sent off to magazines in hope of helping others feel they can do it too Weighted a long time! My journey through size and scales in another dimension since I was so big... I have struggled with my weight for most of my life. I look back at childhood pictures and see a chubby kid and wonder why something…
  • When I get up too late for breakfast, I grab a cereal bar or a couple of biscuits. In an hour hungry for lunch, then you have eaten some calories but not as many as you would in a breakfast maybe? I would do more exercise than normal that day to eat same amount of calories
  • While on Slimming World, I learned how to make a doughless pizza for my 2 daughters who craved pizza (I stopped buying them) so I made a base with instant mash potato and topped with light mozzerella, half fat cheddar, tomato puree and lots of healthy veg plus a couple of olives. Lovely! PIZZA RECIPE * 1 x bag of MASH *…
  • Well done but first you have to do this for YOU!!! You are important and needed as a mother and wife but you need to do this for your own reasons. Health often isn't enough to get motivated but more you lose, the better you will feel anyway. When you look in the mirror, how do you feel? Are the areas you hate because of…
  • I think these meal replacement or meals on wheels (meals delivered) are handy for those who have a problem with portions and don't want the fuss of measuring. They are meant to get educated while on these on how to maintain without doing it forever but I can't see it working as weight staying off. We are all human and come…
  • Is it worth buying then? Downloaded a little and I can say I am impressed!
  • Be a good idea to swap unused workout DVDs too but the region would have to be checked
  • I'm alternating, after finding Shred so easy yesterday so done ball breaker workout today. Back with you tomorrow! Well done x
  • Even though I didn't do day 3 I did a kick *kitten* workout yesterday but did a Shred today and found it much easier. Did full push ups without knees too! Great work everyone!!!
  • I am terrible for this. We take in turns to host party night and put food on. I go mental! Drink in one hand, slice of pizza in the other and already clocking what to eat next. I generally ignore what I eat then since it's like once a fortnight and be an angel rest of the time
  • Well done guys! I didn't do a shred today, I opted for a kick *kitten* longer workout that left me in a pool of sweat. I will welcome Jillian tomorrow morning with a big hug lol
  • I mean stuff that we don't always do. I generally mop the floor but if I wanted to get on my hands and knees to scrub the floor then it is outside the "normal" activities. I am merely curious. Ordered myself a pulse rate watch that tracks calories so I will be leaving it on and randomly checking how many cals burned
  • Well done everyone, me too Day 2 done! Found it much easier today, used heavier weights and more or less did everything apart from full push up. That is my aim for tomorrow. To complete it 100% with weights and full push ups.
  • Brilliant everyone, we have all a common goal regardless of how much weight is needed to lose. It's great we can help motivate others and in turn it motivates us. The other week I was only half in control, managing to maintain by the skin of my teeth but not losing and now back to logging it is shifting. It just goes to…
  • Day 2 done! Felt much better, managed to get lower doing punches and the weights felt a little easier.
