They posted results today and I actually beat my time from November by a lille over 5 minutes! :) I have another planned for May, so I am newly determined to train properly....the last 3 miles were ROUGH and i was pretty sore yesterday...but still so worth it..

I think the difference is because the Frederick Half is the big event in that race, where the Baltimore Half is running at the same time as a Full, so the street closures are already set up for a longer time period. NYC is definitely on the list of realistic goals...Athens is on the list of "if I ever hit the lotto" races....Would also like to do the HM's at the Grand Canyon and Key West

I'm doing it and I just started running last April! I am, tentatively, shooting to do the Full at the Baltimore Running Festival as that one holds some real sentimental value to me, but I may rethink that depending on how my training is going...I say go for it! I feel like there is enough time between the races to recover…

Thanks for the input folks...I mainly run trails and all of the trails have really been holding a nice layer of snow and ice so that's what I was thinking of using them for...maybe I would be better to just invest in a pair of trail runners. Also, I have to packet pick up there tomorrow...which means, for me, that I have to wake up around 3am...I can get a hotel and drive down tonight for $80 bucks and gain about 2.5 hours of sleep...worth it or would you think the sleepiness won't really be a factor once the adrenaline gets going??

Ran a quickie on Sunday with a friend who is a newly-returned-to-running runner...just a local 5k...but I PR'd my time from my first 5K back in June by almost 5 minutes!! So that was cool :smiley: My big build for the fall is next weekend...Annapolis Running Classic (my first HM) on the 22nd....

W11D3 today...felt good...ready to blow through W12 (only adding 1 minute to each interval so I don't expect much issue) then it's on to the biggies...2 22 min runs, 2 25 min runs, 2 30 min runs, then an hour straight...that sounds daunting, but so did running 20 minutes straight a few weeks ago so...I'm ready :)

ROCKED W10 days 1, 2 and 3 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday!! Officially hit the half way point to my weight-loss goal this morning :bigsmile: I have lost 30 pounds of the 60 I want to lose all together, going from 195lbs on March 23rd to 165lbs this morning...and I can't remember the last time I was this active and felt this good!!
