Such awesome advice. I'm doing a 10k in a week and started up with my gym program again, which includes various squats, core, burpee's (even though I hate them), balancing exercises, and I notice a HUGE difference with my running. I wish I would have incorporated my gym program right from the get go!

I never get headaches, but would get them after my run if I wasn't properly hydrated. I make sure I drink some water before and lots after my run and no longer get headahes. I also make sure I each peanut butter, or yogurt after my run to help repair my muscles.

Nah....it's nice and controlled, it just doesn't sound like it is

Believe me...I'm running slow. Even when I ran alot, I never held any sort of conversation to begin with. If I ran any slower, I'd be walking.

40 years old here...Didn't mind my 40th B-Day, I had an issue with my 25th for some odd reason. I don't act my age, so I'm not too worried about the number anyhow. Feel free to add me :o)

I'm 40!! Don't feel or act it though lol. Feel free to add me :o)

I can't recall the exact reason, but whenever you enter a strength exercise, calories aren't indicated. Maybe enter it into the Cardiovascular group where you can enter Calories. :o)

Awesome job!!! You should be very proud of yourself. My friend told me the same thing when I was doing the app, she said she never stops running, she just runs slower and then works on her speed after the fact.

Couch to 5k app. It's the one I was telling you about that I started to get back into running again.
-
I'm a fast walker to begin with, so I start at 5.5km as well for my warm up and then walk at 6.4km. During the C25K program I run at 9 to 9.5km, I know I should be slightly faster, but speed will come with time. I'm focusing on finishing the App first and then I will work on my speed.
