"I guess what I'm trying to ask is how did you find what works for you? Weights or not, or nutrition or not, how did you find your way to loose weight relatively steady?" I found what works for me by experimenting and keeping at it. I've lost 35-40lbs and have stayed here now for close to 2 years. The bottom line is this…

I'm in for the crunches! Tell me where to log my efforts ... :) Looking forward to this.

you got this one! :)

wow! bravo for you... this inspires me. I am also 5'5" and am currently stuck at 165 BUT I will get it going and I will meet my goals, just like you. :) thanks for posting.

got them done! :) thks for the idea! :)

Bravo for you! We all know the saying, "slow and steady wins the race". Keep up the good work. :)

I think I can do that! thanks for the challenge.

I used it too - a free app to my netbook for on my treadmill. I am now an outdoor runner. Who would have thought? !!! :) Good luck

Over all my plan was "eat less and exercise more". So in light of that, the two biggest changes I've made is portion control and working out anywhere btw 3-6x a week depending on the schedule. I've lost 40lbs this way. Nothing is off limits but I have discovered though that sweets and carbs are addicting, so I do try to…

Good for you ... keep on keeping on! Before you know it you will be right back into the groove and moving forward again.

I bought a heart rate monitor for just this reason. there is no way MFP could possible have every exercise program listed. If you use a HRM it will be your perfect calorie count. Enjoy!! :)

I would encourage you to put away your "too small" clothes since looking at them only depresses you. You'll be thankful you have them in a couple months when you are getting smaller and need them. You don't want to have to spend money on clothes when you already had some. :) Good luck on your journey.

I know it seems counter-intuitive. You would like to think that with all the science and gadgets we have these days that it should make this job of loosing weight and maintaining weight so much easier. BUT as you can see it's not fool proof. I agree with what the others have said, if you were able to maintain at 1500 and…

I don't accept men requests - sorry guys :) ... but I'm married, have four kids, live a busy life - for me this site as about my "girl time". There are times when I want to share or talk about things that aren't appropriate for mixed company and I don't want to have to worry about what I choose to say. I'm sure there are…

"like" - thks for speaking truth with kindness.

outright chronic pain is hard to deal with day in and day out and remain positive - I'm sorry to hear story. Yet, the one other person who did reply seems to have a great place for you to go look at. Good luck and many many blessings as you travel this journey.

I don't suppose that this was the best advice that this guy gave you. I'm not an expert but everything I've heard is that women can lift "heavy" just like men. And muscle is smaller and burns more cals - it's just better to have. So, good luck and enjoy the journey!! :)

My whole life I was an inside exerciser - treadmill, bike, even swimming - INSIDE. I started the c25k on my treadmill and then at about week 5, the weather was so gorgeous, I just had to try outside and NOW ... well it's hard to go back to my treadmill. ;)

apparently I should use my scale more ! :)

when I started my weight loss journey I was a 36DDD and bubbling over ... now for the first time ever my bra actually fit properly and I'm not over-flowing. When I'm done losing weight, I will be new bra shopping! :) I can't wait. For me, this is a NSV!!

I will pray for you - this is hard work and now it's frustrating. I will cover this in prayer. Take care, my friend.

PS - the other side of this coin :) - is that it's winter and the sun is dull and life is like hubernating .... this may be playing into your slowness of leaving that warm and cozy bed - know that spring is coming!
