  • Bump to try this weekend-thanks! :flowerforyou:
  • LOL @ Fireman Sam! This is pretty much the take on the topic from most every male I know. We ladies would prefer they be perkier, but the men don't seem to mind nearly as much.
  • Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood and Something's Gotta Give if I have to pick only two.
  • Yep! Has worked for me several times.
  • Budweiser Select 55 beer--55 calories per beer and pretty good if you like beer. ;)
  • Hell yeah! You go girl! :drinker:
  • Same thing here! I went on a 7 hour motorcycle ride and didn't realize how hot the sun was...no sunscreen. Silly me! :frown: Blistered some of my face and burned my arms and tops of my feet. Weighed in Monday after having done super good on my eating all week and I had gained a pound! Weighed again this morning just to see…

  • I too log my cleaning calories. I know a lot of people think that is stretching, but here's why I do it. I work 5 days a week sitting behind a desk. Heck I don't even have to get up to get to the fax or copy machine. So, when I clean on the weekend it is definitely more--much more--than my daily routine that I am going by…
  • Lol. Same here amfmmama and I have wondered the same thing! I tried adding the Benefiber (even though I was already getting plenty of fiber) and it didn't make any difference at all for me--in fact I felt bloated. I like the explanation that the better quality food gets burned and the junk goes right through you. Too bad…
  • Oooh, this sounds yummy! I am always on the look out for new recipes that are low cal/fat. I will definitely try this one! Thanks for sharing. :flowerforyou:
  • Several others have suggested drinking more water when you feel hungry. For me the key seems to be to drink LOTS of water all day long and not waiting until I feel hungry to drink it. If I wait until I feel hungry and then drink water it doesn't seem to work, but if I drink water all day long it keeps me from getting as…
  • Yes it is! But I love this site and it's a great tool. If nothing else it is a real eye opener for me on what I was eating and how bad it really was for me! And the weight is coming off....VERY slowly, but hey it IS happening! Hang in there!:flowerforyou:
  • Thanks! I am going to try this one for sure!
  • Sounds really good--and filling too! How long should the chicken bake at 375? (I should probably know that but I don't cook often these days  )
  • I am having a hard time keeping under my sodium goal as well. I can't judge it in foods---can't even guess at it--like calories or carbs. Many foods that I don't have a clue contain so much have a ton of sodium in them and I usually don't know until AFTER I have eaten them and log it in. Trying to learn to watch a…
  • For me, I count them. I have a desk job so I am very inactive most days. The energy and calories burned for a day of good house cleaning are not a part of my daily routine so I count them because it is "above and beyond" my normal daily activity. Scrubbing, pushing, pulling, tugging, bending, squatting...are all part of…
  • Thanks Chel. I will probably have to work out HARD nonstop from now until tomorrow afternoon some time to burn off enough to get anywhere NEAR my daily calorie goal though!
  • I just got back from eating out at a local Mexican restaurant (no online menu) so I just looked in the database and found the dinner I had at a chain Mexican restaurant and used it. I figure it is probably fairly close. And boy am I glad to read the encouragement in this thread that one meal won't undo it all b/c I REALLY…
  • I have the same problem much of the time. I am a short (about 5 foot) female and I know "they" say no one should eat under 1200 calories a day, but if I eat that I will GAIN weight. Hate to admit it, but middle age metabolism is NOT my friend either right now. I don't know if any of this applies to you or not, but if it…
